ORDINANCE NO. 546
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF THE 6lST
ADDITION. LANDS N0uB-m , TO THE STREET AND WEST_OF LOMA DRIU
CIm OF LODI AND DECLARING THAT THE

SAME IS ANNEXED TO AND MDE PaRT OF
THE CITY OF LODI
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County
did approve the boundary line description of the hereinafter
described territory, proposed for annexation to the City of
Lodi, as to definiteness and certainty, and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of December, 1955, the City
Council of the City of Lodi did initiate proceedings and declare
its intention to annex to said City the hereinafter described
uninhabited territory, thereupon Resolution No. 1890, giving
notice of the proposed annexation and of the time and place for
the hearing of protests against such annexatiog, was adopted
by said City Council, such hearing to be held in the City Coun-
cil Chambers, City Hall, Lodi, California, begining at 8:OO
orclock p.m. of Wednesday, January 4, 1956, and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of said Resolution
No. 1890, conforming therewith and with the provisions of the
"Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", notice w&'s
given owners of property within the territory proposed for
annexation by publication of said Resolution No. 1890 in news-
papers of general circulation printed and publibbed in the
City of Lodi and in San Joaquin County outside said City as
is evidenced by affidavits thereof on file and of record in
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lodi, said publi-
cations being completed more than twenty days prior to the date
of hearing set in Resolution No. 1890, and

8:OO o'clock p.m. of said day, in the City council Chambers,
City Hall, Lodi, CalFfornia, pursuant to resolution and notice
aforesaid, the City Council of the City of Lodi did hold and
conduct a public hearing for the hearing of protests or objections
against the annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi,
and said protests being heard, considered and passed upon by
said City Council, and found to have been made by owners of
less than one-half of the assessed valuejof the territory pro-
posed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment
roll of San Joaquin County, California, now therefore

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The annexation of the following described
uninhabited territory in San Joaquin County, contiguous to the
City of Lodi, designated "61st Addition, Lands North of Lockeford
Street and West of Lorna Drive" is hereby approved and the same
is hereby declared to be annexed to and made part of the City
of Lodi:
Lots 35, 34, 27, and 26, except the North
75 feet of Lot 26, and the North 30 feet of Lot
48, as said Lots are designated on the map entitled,
"Gerard Tract", which map was filed August 8, 1916,
in Book of Maps and Plats, Vol. 8, page 62, San
Joaquin County Records, containing 10.7 acres,
more or less.
Reference is hereby made to a map or plat on file in the office
of the City Clerk of this City delineating the boundaries next
above described.

Section 2. This ordinance shall be published one time
in the "Lodi News-Sentinel", a daily newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall
be in force and take effect thdrty days from and after its
passage.
Section 3. Upon the effective date of this ordinance,
the City Clerk shall immediately prepare under seal a certified
copy of the ordinance, giving the date of its passage, and trans-
mit it to the Secretary of State.

GLAVES, JR., City Clerk of the City of Lodi and ex officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 546 was introduced in regular meeting of said Council held January 4, 1956, and was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to rint at a regu-
lar meeting of the City Council held January If;, 1956, by the
following vote:
AYES : Councilmen - Fuller, Hughes, Mitchell,
NOES: Councilmen - None
Richey and Robinson
ABSENT: Councilmen - None
I FURTHER CERTIFY that Ordinance No. 546 was approved and signed by the Mayor on the date of its passage and has been published pursuant to law.
