An Ordinance Fixing the Salaries and Compensation of the City
Clerk,Treasurer,I~IIarshal,Recorder,Health Officer and Superintendent
of Streets,and Repealing; Ordinance No.Pive,Ordinances of the City
of Lodi.
The 3oard of Trustees of the City of Lodi do ordain as follovrs:
The officers of the City of Lodi hereinafter named,from and
after the eighteenth day of April ,1910 ,shall severally receive com-
pensation as follows,the same to be in full for all services during
their respective terms:
City Section 1.- The City Clerk and Ex-Officio Assessor shall recetve Clerk a salary of Sixty Dollars ($60.00) per month for his servlcea
as Clerk and Twenty-five ljollars ($25.00) per month for his
services as Assessor and such other SUM or sums as may be
allowed by the Board of Trustees for extra services rendereft
the City by order of said Board,but in no instance shall the
aggrezate sum paid the said Clerk for salary and other services
exceed the sum of One Hundred and Twenty-five Dollars ($125.00)
Ln any one month. If in the jiidipent of the Board the employnent
of deputies are at any time necessary,the Board may provide
for thei? employment and compensation.
City Section 2.- The City Treasurer shall receive as ComDensation Treasurer. one per cent on all moneys received and paid by him as such
Treasurer,and he may credit himself with sum per cent in hi5
City Marshal
settlement with the City Clerk. He shall,as deputy marshal ap-
pointed for that purpose,collect all taxes due the City,bUt he
shal not receive fordhis services more than the swll of Three
Hundred Dollars in any one year.
Section 3.- The City Marshal and Ex-Offlcio Tax and License $
Collector shall receive a salary of Seventy-five Dollars ( $75.00)
per month for his servlces as Marshal and Ex-Officio Tax Col-lect-

in the collection of taxes due the City,which said deput?
shall be the acting City. Treasurer. The RZaPshal shall have
general supervision of the streets of the City of Lodi,and
he shall receive for such services the SUM of Fifteen Dollars
(8l5.00) ger month.
Section 4.- The City Recorder shall receive a salary of Ten City Recorder.
Dollars (#lO.OO ) per month for his services in criminal glrlxra
prosecution for violation of City ordinances ,and he shall

receive from the parties in civil cases 4 as are or may be allowed
by the, statute to Justices of the Peace for like services,
provided that the City shall pay no costs or fees not collected
from the adverse party andlwhen less than the whole amount
adfudged to the City be collected. Such cost shall! be payable
pro rata with the amount collected.
Health Officer.
Section 5.- The City Health Officer shall receive a salary of
Ten DoLLars ( $10 .OO ) per month.
Section 6,- Ordinance No.Bive,Ordinances of the CitY 09 Lod.l,is
hereby repealed.
Section 7.- This ordinance shall be in force and taka effeot on the
eighteenth day of April,l910. -a
