Section 2. That the said City Council proposes to issue and sell bonds of said City of Lodi in the said amount of $520,000 €or the object and purpose specified in the said proposition set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance, iP two- thirds of the qualified electors voting at said special election shall vote in favor of said proposition. Said bonds shall be negotiable in form and of tke character known as serial, and shall bear interest at a rate notexceeding five (5) per cent per annum, payable semiannually. Secf&onL3. That the said City Council does hereby submit to the qualified electors of said City of Lodi at said special municipal election the said proposition ?et forth in Section 1 of this ordinance, and designates and refers to said proposition in the form of ballot hereinhfter prescribed for use at said election. hereinafter desiqnlated shall be opened at six o'clock A.IL of said day o€ election and shall be kept open cfontinuously there- after until seven o'clock P.LI. of said day of election, when the polls shall be closed (except as provided in Section 1164 of the Political Code), and the election officers shall thereupon proceed to CiLnvass the ballots cast thereat. Section 5. That said special election shall be held and conducted, and tkc votes thereat canvassed, and the returns thereof made, and the result thereof ascertained and determined as herein provided; and in all particulars not prescribed by this ordinance said election shall be held as provided by law for the holdinp: o$ municipal elections in said City, The returns of said election shall be made out and signed by the election officers and shall be by them deposited with the Clerk of said City, together mith the ballots cast at said elec- tion; and this City Council shall meet and canv&ss said returns on bionday, the 30th day of April, 1934 (being the first Monday after said election), at the hour of eight o'clock, P.1~1.; and if upon suck canvass it shall be found that at least two- thirds of tke qualified electors of said City, voting at said election, voted in favor of said proposition, then bonds of said City of Lodi in the amount specified in sciid proposition, to wit, b520,OOO will be issued and sold by said City for the purp 0s e there in men t ioned , -- Section 6. ?or the conduct of said special election, the City of Lodi is hereby divided into four special election precincts.
