Paraqraph 2 of Section 14 of Ordinance Ilo. 164 hereby repealed effective July lst., 1929. adopted June 4tl.,., 1928, in-so-far-as the 'sane relates to charging the cost of mhximum demand attackmeats to meters to applicants for service is hereby repealed. Section 3. Rates for the sale of electric energy by the City of Lodi to be applied to all bills rendered on and after the first day of July, 1929, shall be as follows: Applicable to Jomestic Lighting, Iieating, Cooking and Power Service. SPECIAL COBDITIOIJS: (a) Voltage: This schedule of rates mill apply to service ren- dered at any standard voltage at the option of tke consumer. All necessary transformers to obtain such voltage will be supplied, owned ad maintained by the City, at the option of the consumer, be based on the H.P. of the measured maximum demand instead of: I1.P. of the connected load, in which case the 1i.P. of demand on wbich the rates and minimurn cbarges will be based will not be less than 36 of the connected load, and tke mini- mum charge will not be less t’lan +)Z5.00 per month. (b) ILhj,ximum Demand: The above rates and rninirnurn charges may, (Ordinance No. 170, Continued) The maximum demand in any month will be the averaqe Z.P. input (746 watts equivalent) indicated by instruments to be sup- plied, owned and maintained by the City and at the City's expense upon the consumer's premises adjacent to the watt hour meters, in the fifteen minute interval in which the consumption of elec- tric energy is more than iE my other fifteen minute interval in the month for icstallation of less than 750 H.P. and a 30 minute interval for 1a.ryer size installation or at the option of the City the maximum demand may be determined by test. In the case of hoists, elevators, welding machines, furnaces and other installations where the enerzy demand is in termit tent or subject to violent fluctuations, the City niw base the consumer's maxirnum demand upon a five minute interval. Demands for installations in excess of 750 X.P. or connected load occurring between the hours of 11:OO P.1;. and 6:oO k.br. of the followin,? day will not be considered in computing ckarges un- der thi s schedule. may obtain the rates and conaitions of service for larqer install- ations by guaranteeina the rates and minimum cfiarc-res apnlicable to the larger installation.
