'I' The Board of Trustees of the City of L0d.i do ordain as .. follows : Section 1.- Section 6 of 0rdhance No. 47 is hereby amended. to read as follows: "Section 6.- The Bched.ule of rates for electric energy A 6 month: from and after 8ar&aQr3 Is*, 1924, shall be as follows, per &i For all services of less than 50 K.iT. The Naximum Demand of motors, unless measured by h!.aximum Gemand. meter, will be taken as of one R.F. per horse- power of manufacturers rating. For the purpose of this ordinance each and every meter shall constitwte a s9parate service, and the Kaiaxlrmm Demand of every resides?ce service is u.eclared to be one K.V.; the m5.nimwn connected load of any service is d.eclared to be one K.W., and the maximum d.emand of connected load.s, other than resid.ences, exceeding one I.I.W., will be estimated to be tke greatest total wattage of all devices or appliances that ere arranged to be connected on the circuits at any one time. Should any consumer desire, however, to install a maximum demand meter, which would be appr.oved by the City, at his own expense, the highest m.onthly readings of such meter shali be taken as the IGaximum Demand for the month, The right to enter into special contracts at rates other than are contained. in this ordii?ance shall reat in and be with the Board of Trustees ‘I Section 2.- All bills for electric energy and water furnished by the City of L0d.i shall be payable to the City Clerk at his office in the City of Lodi from the first to and. inchding the tenth day of each month, for the month next preced-ing. To all bills ?or water and electric energy remainlng unpaid. at 5 P.X. on the tenth day of each calendar month the City Clerk shall ad.d to and CGlleCt as a penelty %or non-palymeiit the 8u.m of ten cents ($.lo) for each bill. iie shall ln:ned.iately nail notice to each consumer in arrears stating the anount claimed. to be d.ue and giving notice that if the claim is not settled by the tenth day of the f9llowing month service shall -2 - be discontinued and shall be resumed only upon payment of 211 arrears. It mill be the duty of the City Clerk to make 2nd deliver to tile Superintendent of electric works on the eleventh day of each month a list showing the names and addresses of all parties who are then delinquent for water and electric service and said Superintendent s'hall thereupon cause the discontinu.ance of each service itsted., or failing to d.0 so shall. report such failure to the Board. of Trustee4 at their next regular meeting, giving his reason therefor Section 3.- T\lo person, except an owner of the premises where electric service is desired shall be suI>plied with the same excepi upon the riiritten order of the owner, who shall then become liable for all service rendered at said premises.
