ORDINANCE NO. 1280
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14-1 OF CHAPTER 14
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LODI ENTITLED, "MOTOR
VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC" AND THEREBY AMENDING THE
DEFINITION OF HOLIDAYS
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows:
Section 1. The definition of "Holidays" in Section 14-1 of Chapter 14 of the
Code of the City of Lodi is hereby amended to read in full as follows:
"Holidays shall include the following days only:
"Every Sunday, January first, the third Monday in February,
the last Monday in May, July fourth, the first Monday in
September, the Thursday in November appointed as Thanksgiving
Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving Day, December twenty-fifth."
"If a specified holiday falls upon a Saturday, the preceding
Friday is a holiday.
the following Monday is a holiday."
Section 2.
repealed insofar as such conflict may exist.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi Life and
Times", a once a week newspaper of general circulation printed and published
in the City of Lodi and shall be in force and take effect thirty days from
and after its passage and approval.

meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held November 17, 1982
and was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to print at a regular
meeting of said Council held by the following vote:

Murphy, and Reid (Mayor)
Noes: Council Members - None
Absent: Council Members - None
