AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "NEUHARTH-EAST
ADDITION" TO THE CITY OF LODI.
The Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, on the 11th day of December 1974, the Council
of the City of Lodi did pass and adapt Resolution No. 4012 giving I
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhibited territory to the City I
of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as "Neuharth-East
Addition", said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory
proposed to be annexed: and

WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 4012 did contain a notice of
the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would
hear protests made by any person owning real property within the terri-
tory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than
forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said
Resolution; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance
with law; and
, WHEREAS, on the 5th day of February, 1975, at the hour of
8:OO p. m. , in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Lodi,
County of San Joaquin, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 4012 for hearing
protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass
upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that
protests had not been made by the owners'of one-half of the value of the
privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last
equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the
value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as deter-
mined by said legislative body: and

WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi
and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi
does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter
described to the City of Lodi and does hereby further ordain that the
said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi.

That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Lodi is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of
San Joaquin, State of California, more particularly described as
follows:

A portion of the North one-half of Section 13,
Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base
and Meridian, being more particularly described as
follows : I
Beginning at the intersection of the West line of
the Southern Pacific Railkoad right-of-way with the South
line of said North one-half (said point being also in the
existing City Limit line a!s described by City of Lodi
Ordinance No. 901, J. C. BECKMAN ADDITION); thence
South 87" 42' 00" West, along said South line and existing

City Limit line, 742. 05 feet to the East line of CHURCH
STREET (40 feet wide); tAence North 2" 00' 00" East,
along said East line and existing City Limit line, 285.78
feet; thence continuing along the existing City Limit line
North 87" 45' 50" East, 751.49 feet to a point in the West
line of said Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence
North 3" 54' 00" East, along said West line and existing
City Limit line, 2 17. 14 feet to the Southeast corner of
GOEHRING ADDITION as described by City of Lodi
Resolution No. 3669; thence continuing North 3" 54' 00"
East, along the existing City Limit line and West line of
said Southern Pacific Railroad right of way, 809.49 feet

to the aouthwest corner of MELHAFF HgDITION as
described by City of Lodi Resolution No. 2962; thence North
87" 42' 00" East, parallel to the South line of said North one-
half, and along the existing City Limit line, 1073.49 feet:
more or less, to the East line of Stockton Street (40 feet
wide); thence leaving said existing City Limit line South 00"
05' West along said East line, parallel with and 20.00 feet
easterly of (measured at right angles), the East line of the
Northwest Quarter of saii Section 13, a distance of 1305.86
feet, more or less, to a point in the South line of the North
one-half of said Section 13; thence South 87" 42' West, along
the South line of said North one-half of Section 13, a distance
of 1160.92 feet, more or less, to the intersection with the
West line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way and
the point of beginning.
Containing 38.3 acres, more OF less.

I, Alice M. Reimche, City Clerk of the City of Lodi, do hereby
certify that Ordinance No. 1048 was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Lodi held February 5, 1975 and was thereafter
passed, adopted and ordered to print at a regular meeting of said Council
held February 19, 1975 by the following vote:
A yes: Councilmen - EHRHARDT, HUGHES, KATNICH,
SCHAFFER and PINKERTON
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - None
I further certify that Ordinance No, 1048 was approved and signed by the
Mayor on the date of its passage and the same has been published pursuant
to law.
