HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 993ORDINANCE NO, 993 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-13 OF CHAPTER 27 OF THEZODE OF THE CITY OF LODI ENTITLED "ZONING" AND THEREBY AMENDING THE SIGN REQUIREMENTS. The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 27-13 (h) (2)b. of Chapter 27 of the Code of the City of Lodi is hereby amended to read in full as follows: b. One identification sign for apartments and insti- tutional use, but not exceeding forty-eight square feet. Section 2. Section 27-13 (h) (2)e. of Chapter 27 of the Code of the City of Lodi is hereby amended to read in full as follows: e. Signs may not exceed one square foot of sign area for each five lineal feet of street frontage, with a maximum size not to exceed two hundred square feet which identifies office uses in the Commercial-Professional District. For office uses located on corner parcels, seventy- five percent (75%) of the total street frontage shall be used in calculating maximum area of .signs. Section 3. All ordinance and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed insofar as such conflict may exist. Section 4. This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi News-Sentinel, I' a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and published in force and take effect thirty days from and -1- State of California, County of San Joaquin, ss. Bennett, City Clerk of the City of Lodi, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 993 was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held January 3, 1973, and was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to print at a regular meeting held January 17, 1973, by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen - HUGHES, KATNICH, PINKERTON, SCHAFFER and EHRHARDT Noes: Councilmen - None Absent: Councilmen - None I further certify that Ordinance No. 993 was approved and signed by the Mayor on the date of its passage and the same has been published pursuant to law. -2-
