AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER THREE dF
ADDING SECTION 3-29 ENTITLED "UNNECESSARY
NOISE CREATING A PUBLIC NUISANCE."

The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain; a.e follows:
Section 1. Cbdpter 3 of the Code of the City of Lddi is hereby
amended to add Section 3-29 to read in full as follows: ~
Section 3-29. Unnecessary noise creating a birblic nuisance.
It shall be unlawful to keep any dog, cat, or othkrs animal or fowl,
whether licensed or not, which, by habitual howkihg, yelping,
whining, barking, or other noise disturbs or anmoks any consider-
able number of persons or neighborhood, and sucb conduct on
the part of any dog, cat, or other animal or fowl is hereby
declared to be a public nuisance, and each day sinall constitute a
separate offense.
Section 2.
'i ' All ordinances and parts of ordinance$ in conflict
herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may exist.1
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one fime in the
"Lodi News-Sentinel, 'I a daily newspaper of general cirehlhtion printed
and published in the City of Lodi, and shall be in force srid'take effect
thirty days from and after its passage and approval. ,,

certify that Ordinance No. 923 was introduced at a regulhr meeting of the
City Council of the City of Lodi held February 4, 1970, and was thereafter
passed, adopted and ordered to print at a regular meeting of said Council
held February 18, 1970, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen - BROWN, CULBERTSON,) HUNNELL,
SCHAFFER and KIRST~N
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - None
I further certify that Ordinance No. 923 was ap#roved and
signed by the Mayor on the date of its passage and the same has been
published pursuant to law.
