AN ORDINANCE REZONING AND PREZONING PROPERTY
LOCATED SOUTH OF THE MOKELUMNE RlVER,, EAST OF
CKEROKEE~ANEANDWESTOF CLUFFAVENVETOBE
IN THE C-l, GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT AND THE
M-2, HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT.
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows:
Section 1. The official District Map of the City of Lodi adopted by
Section 27-2 of the Code of the City of Lodi is hereby amena!ed and the
property hereinafter described rezoned and reclassified from its present
classification as being in the M-2, Heavy Industrial Districf to be in the
C-2, General Commercial District, viz:
A portion of the Southwest Quarter of Sedtion 31,
Township 4 North, Range 7 East, and the Northwest Quarter
of Section 6. Township 3 North, Range 7 East, Mbunt Diablo
Base and Meridian, San Joaquin County, Californla and more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the South line Df the South-
west Quarter of said Section 31, 32 feet, more 04 less, easterly
from the Southwest corner of said Quarter section, which point
is also a corner of the present boundary line of the City of Lodi;
thence southerly along said City boundary line 991feet. more or
less, to a north line of Lot 40, as said lot is desiilgnated on a map
entitled "Map of Lawrence Homestead'Addition," filed April 5,
1920 in Volume 10, page 5, Book of Maps and PI,&, San Joaquin
County Records; thence easterly along said nortnlline 647. 1 feet,
more or less, to a corner of said Lot 40; thence northerly along

the west line of said Lot 40 to its intersection widh the South
bank of the Mokelumne River; thence Westerly, downstream,
along the south hank of said river to its intersection with the
west line of said Quarter Section; thence southerll'y along said
West line to the Southwest corner of said Quarter section,
which point also lies on said City boundary line; tihence
easterly along the South line of said Quarter section and said
City boundary line 32 feet, more or less, to the :point of
beginning, containing 12. 5 acres, more or less.
Section 2. The property hereinafter described is1 hereby zoned
and classified as being in the C-2, General-Commercial District, viz:
A parcel on the east side of North Cherdkee Lane,
414 feet north of East Lockeford Street (i. e., that portion of
the Hallinan Addition to the City of Lodi located weat of the
U. S. 50-99 Freeway); and
Portions of Lots 40, 41, 42, 43 and 44 d the
Lawrence Homestead Addition (i. e., the area noktherly of
the southerly 446 feet of the Hallinan Addition to'the City of
Lodi lying easterly of the U. S. 50-99 FreewayJ
Section 3. The property hereinafter described i$i hereby aoned and
classified as being in the'1LI-2, Heavy Industrial District, *iz:
Portions of Lots 44, 45,47, 48 and 49 ot8the Lawrence
Homestead Addition (i. e., the southerly 446 feetlof that portion
of the Hallinan Addition to the City of Lodi lying easterly of the
U. S. 50-99 Freeway).
The above zoning herein set forth has been apprd+ed by the City
Planning Commission and by the City Council of this City akter public hearings
held in conformance with the provisions of Chapter 27 of thle Code of the City

of Lodi and the laws of the State of California applicable helieto.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinance5 in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed insofar as such conflict may exist.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be published one!time in the "Lodi
News-Sentinel, I' a daily newspaper of general circulation p$inted and published
in the City of Lodi, and shall he in force and take effect thitty days from and
after its passage and approval.
City Clerk of the City of Lddi do hereby
certify that Ordinance No. 918 was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Lodi held January 7, 1970 and wab thereafter
passed, adopted and ordered to print at a regular meeting HCld January 21,
1970 by the following vote:
