AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-13 (b
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LODI THERE
EXTENDING THE TIME PERIOD FOR REMOVAL
OF NONCONFORMING SIGNS.
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Section 27-13 (h) (1) h. is hereby amended to read
in full as follows:
h. All signs, except as provided in part (5)l of this Section
(Outdoor Advertising Displays Adjacent to Freeways), in
violation of the provisions of this subsection shall be made to
conform with such provisions or shall be removed by May, 1973
or within five years of the annexation to the city,of the property
upon which the sign is located, whichever is the'later date. All
flashing, moving and animated signs existing in khe city on the
effective date of this subsection shall require a use permit or
shall be removed by May, 1973, or within five gears of annex-
ation of the property to the city.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may exisit.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi
News Sentinel, " a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and
published in the City of Lodi, and shall be in force and tdke effect thirty
'ts passage and approval.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 916 was introduced at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held November 19,
1969, and was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to print at a
regular meeting held December 3, 1969 by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen - Hunnell, Schaffer and KBrsten
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - Brown and Culhertson
