HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 850ORDINANCE NO. 850 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 27 (ZONING ORDINANCE) OF THE LODI CITY CODE BY ADDING THERETO DEFINITIONS FOR HOSPITALS, MOBILE HOMES AND/OR TRAILER PARKS, AND NURSING HOMES OR CONVALESCENT HOMES The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: Section 1. Chapter 27 (Zoning Ordinance) of the Lodi City Code is hereby amended by adding the following definitions to Section 27-3: Hospital. A building with diagnostic and therapeutic facilities staffed and equipped to provide various types of care including but not limited to short term care in acute medical, surgical and/or obstetrical services. Mobile Home and/or Trailer Park. Any parcel of land comprised of a lot or contiguous lots used, designed or intended to accommodate five (5) or more mobile homes and/or house trailers. Nursing Home or Convalescent Home. A facility providing bed care or convalescent care for one (1) or more presons, exclusive of relatives, who require professional nursing care including close medical supervision, pro- fessional observation or the exercise of professional judgment, but not serving or admitting persons with mental or communicable diseases and wherein there is no surgery or other similar activities customarily provided in hospitals. Persons suffering from senility or exhibiting such minor symptoms as confusion, loss of memory, or disorientation shall not be considered mental patients within the definition of this chapter. Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed insofar as such conflict may exist. Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one time in the “Lodi News-Sentinel, ” a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and 1. published in the City of Lodi and shall be in force and take effect thirty days from and after its passage and approval.
