HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 827ORDINANCE NO. 827 VACATION AND SICK LEAVE, OF ORDINANCE NO. 944 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF LODI AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES INCONS ISTENT THEREWITH. '' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 12 AND 13, RESPECTING The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 12 of Ordinance No. 444 is hereby amended by the addition of a new subsection, which shall read as follows: (i) Every employee having completed twenty years or more of continuous full time employment with the City of Lodi shall be allpwed vacation leave with pay at the rate of four calendar weeks €or each full year of service thereafter. ees working a forty-hour week schedule shall accumulate vacation leave at the rate of one and two-thirds working days per month, beginning with the first month following the completion of twenty full years of employment. Such employees working a schedule different from forty hours per week shall accumulate Employ- vacation time at a rate which will provide the nearest practi- cable equivalent of four calendar weeks of vacation leave per year. Employees with twenty years or more of continuous service on or before October 1, 1966, shall commence accumulating their additional vacation allowances as of that date. Section 2. Subsection (b) of Section 13 of Ordinance No. 4% is hereby amended to read in full as follows: (b) Sick Leave may be accumulated for an unlimited number of days. accumulated shall be granted unless, in unusual circumstances the City Council shall so authorize.
