HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 816ORDSFTANCE No. 816 ORDINANCE.ADDIDG SECTIOR 17-2.1 The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: Section 1. There is hereby added to the Code of the City of Lodi .a new section No. 17-2.1 to read as follows: MAXIPWM AGE OF EPE?LOYME.NT? All employees of the City of Lodi shall terminate their employment on the first day of the'month next succeeding the month in which they attain the age of 65 yearso Provided, however, that in an unusual case involving the good of the city's service, an employee may be permitted to remain on active duty-beyond age sixty-five, but in no even% beyond %he first day of the moneh next succeeding the month in which he attains the age of seventy. In each such case, the department head of the employee involved shall submit, in writing, to the city manager a statement of facts, setting forth the Peasons why the good of the city's service requires retention of the employee beyond the normal retirement age, which statement of facts shall be submitted at least six months prior to the a-t;taiment of the employee of age sixty-five.
