ORDINANCE mPEALiNG ARTICLE TI
OF CmFhZ 17 OF THE LODI CITY CODE
ENTITLED RETIREWNT SYSTEM
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Article 11, Chapter 17 entitled "Retirement
System" being Section 17-15 to 17-36 inclusive of-the Lodi City
Code is hereby repealed on the date herein set forth in Section 2.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become operative after its
passage, adoption and publication and upon the effective date of
the contract between the City of Lodi and the State Employees
Retirement System.
Section 3. That at a duly held election of the members of
the retirement system of the City of Lodi, by a vote of 184 to 4,
said employees voted to "approve discontinuance of the local
retirement system and the substitution theref or of participation
in the State Employees Retirement System" and in accordance with
this authority, this ordinance is being adopted.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be gublished one time in
the "Lodi News Sentinel," a daily newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in-the City of Lodi, and shall be in force
and take effect thirty days from and after its passage.
