Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution awarding all three items of the contract for asphalt materials for fiscal year 1997/98 as follows: Item A. 1,500 Tans/FOB Plant Granite Construction Stockton $40,410 Item B. 150 Tons/Stockpile City Limits F.T.G. Construction Lodi $ 4,650 Item C. 2000 Tons/Hopper of Paver F.T.G. Construction Lodi $64,000 BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This contract provides asphalt materials for various street maintenance projects carried on throughout the City during the fiscal year. Specifications for this project were approved on May 21, 1997. The City received four bids for the asphalt materials as shown on the attached bid tab. This year's total contract price shows an average 1.72 percent increase in price per ton. T. G. Construction, Lodi $ 4,650 Item C. 2,000 Tons/Hopper of Paver F.T.G.
