AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LODI ADOPTING A TEMPORARY
INTERIM ZONING ORDINANCE PROHIBITING TKE CONSTRUCTION
OF SIGNS IN EXCESS OF 60 FEET IN HEIGHT IN THE CITY
OF LODI
WEREAS, there is a question as to whether the Zoning Ordinance
of the City of Lodi contains any helght 1imiQtions’ on signs; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lodi has been
and will be studying and holding hearings on the need and/or neces-
sity of amending or adding language to the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Lodi containing height limitations on signs; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. No building permits shall be issued for the con-
struction or erection of any freestanding signs in excess of sixty
feet in height in the City of Lodi.
Section 2. This Ordinance is being enacted pursuant to Govern-
ment Code Section 65806 as a temporary interim Zoning Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its adoption as an emergency measure and shall
terminate and be of no further force and effect after October 15,
1964.
