TKE INTEXTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTXES OF TEE CITY AT THE G$.K!!XAL IdTJNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HBLD POVER OF CONTROL ILESI’l3CTIlJG 01m OR MORB CLASSES OF PUBLIC UTILI- The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi do ordain as follows: Section 1. It is hereby declared that the aublic interest requires the submission of, that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi to submit, and hereby is and sha.11 be submitted, to the qualified electors of the City of Lodi, at the general municipal election to be held in said city on the 13th day of April, 1914, the question whether t’ne City of Lodi shall ; retain its power of control respecting one OT more classes of pub- lic utilities, which question is to be submitted, as prescribed by law, in the form of the following ten propositions, to wit: Proposition No, 1. Shall the City of Lodi retain its poaers of control over railroad corporations? Proposition No. 2+ Shall the City of Lodi retain its povers of control over street railroad corporations? Proposition No. 3. Snall the City of Lodi retain its povers of control over comon carriers other than railroad and street rz i 1 ‘PO ad c o rpo rat ions? Proposition No, 4. Shall the City of Lodi retain its powers of control over gas dorporations? -1- Proposition 110. 5. Shall the City of Lodi retain its powers of control over electrical corporations? Proposition No. 6. Shall the City of Lodi retain its powers of control over telephone corporations? Proposition No. 7. Shall the city of Lodi retain its powers of control over telegraph corporations? Proposition No. 8. Shall the CZty of Lodi retain its poaers of control over water corporations? Proposition No. 9. Shall the City of Lodi retain its powers of control over wharfingers? Proposition No. 10. Shall the City of Lodi retain its powers of control over warehousemen? See. 2. This ordinance shall be published at least on the 28th day of Narch, 1914, and the 4th day of April, 1914, in IIThe Lodi Sentinel", a nevspaper printed and published in the city of Lodi three times a week, and the Clerk of this Roard of Trustees shall post a printed copy of this ordinance in at least three pub- lic glaces in said C,ity, at least ten days before said election. - 2- The foregoing ordinance was at an adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi, held on the 16th day of &arch, 1914, finally adopted and passed as an ordinance of said City, by the following vote: Tyustees . @/ .......
