AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "RIVER ADDITION,"
TO THE CITY OF LOB1
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as followso
WEEREAS, on the 17th day of April, 1963, the Council of the
City of Lodi did paas and adopt Resolution No. 2621 giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to
the City of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as
"River Addition, N said Resolution describing the boundaries of
the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution )!Toe 2621 did contain a notice of
the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City
would hear protests made by any person owning real property
within the territory prgposed to be annexed, the time of Said
hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from
the date 05 passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance
with law8 and
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of June, 1963, at the hour of 8000
pornr, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of
Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, said time and
place being the day, hour and place fZxed in said Resolution
Boo 2621 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said
City Council did hear and pass upon all protests mae to the
made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately
owned territory prcposed to be annexed as shown by the last
equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of
the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed eb9
determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Eodi
and ie uninhabited territory in the County of Saa Joaquin; and

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lodi has
recommended that the territory proposed for annexation be clsssi-
fied in the R-1 One Family Residential Zone;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi does
hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter
described to the City of Lodi, and does hereby further ordsin
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of
Lodi and said property is hereby classified in the R-1 One Family
Residential Zone.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Lodi is hereby approved, is all the territory situate in the
County of San Joaquin, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

A portion of Section 35, Township 4 iqorth, Range
6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, San Joaquin
County, California, and more partioularly described
as follows:
Beginning at a corner of the present City Limits
of the City of Lodi, which point is 1,177.8 feet East
of and 30 feet North of the Southwest corner of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 35, Township 4 North, Range
6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, and which point
is also in the North line of Turner Road (formerly
Woodbridge Road); thence Iqesterly 2,200 feet, more or less, along the North line of Turner Road, a boundary
line of the City of Lodi, to a corner of the present
City Limits, which point is 1,021.65 feet West of and
44.70 feet North of the Southwest corner of the South-
east Quarter of said Section 35r and which point is in
the East line of the Lake Home No. 2 Subdivision, as
filed for record in Volume 11, page 56, Book of Maps
and Plats, San Joaquin County Records; thence Northerly 1,370 feet, more or less, along the East line of said
Lake Home No. 2 Subdivision and its extension, also a
City boundary line, to the South bank of the Mokelumne
River; thence EaGterly along the meandering South bank
of the Mokelumne River to the extended West line of
the Willow Glen Subdivision, as filed for record in
Volume 14, page 81, Book of Maps and Flats, San Joaquin
County Records, which line is also a City boundary line;
thence Southerly 2,195 feet, more or less, along the
said West line of Willow Glen Subdivision to the true
point of beginning; the area thus described containing
145 acres, more or less.
