HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 744i /' ; 1 ORDINANCE NO. 744 ,*, ,k,:I" AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LODI AMENDING LODI CITY CODE CHAF'TER 22 "SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LODI" BY AMENDING SECTION 22-6(e) AND SECTION 22- 7(d) PROVIDING FOR SCREENING AREAS BETWEEN DIFFER- ENT TYPES OF USES The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: The sections hereinafter listed of Chapter 22 of the Code of the City of Lodi are hereby amended to read in full as follows: Section 1. The second paragraph entitled "Frontage Streets, etc." of subsection (e) of Section 22-6 is hereby amended to read in full as follows: Frontage Streets, etc. Frontake streets, reverse frontage lots, extra depth lots, or extra width lots may be required by the planning commission where desirable development of the property would be adversely affected by frontage on a major street, or by the proximity of property which is zoned or developed for non-residential uses. The planning commission may require that screening areas be installed to provide a visual and physical separation between the different types of uses. Section 2. The third paragraph in subsection (d) of Section 22-7 is hereby amended to read in full as follows: Screening areas, if required by the planning commission as a condition of approval, shall be provided by the developer and maintained by the property owner on which said screening is located. This screening area may include a landscape easement up to twenty feet in width, the installation of evergreen shrubs and trees to provide a visual and noise barrier, and the installation of a chain- link fence or masonry wall up to eight feet in height to provide a physical separation between the different types of uses. No structures shall be located within a landscape easement. The development of the screening area shall be 1. improvement in accordance with a detailed/plan approved by the planning commission before approval of the final map. Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi News Sentinel," a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi, and shall be in force and take I 1. effect thirty days from and after its passage.
