ORDINANCE NO. 737
AN O!U)INANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED WX"HI0 ADDITION"
TO THE CITY OF UDT. AHD CLASSIFYING THE SAME TO
BE IN THE fi-2 OXE FAMILY ktESIDENCE ZONE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TiiE CITY OF WDI:
WIREAS, on the 5th day of September, 1962, the Council of the City
of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No, 2562 giving notice of the proposal
ta annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Mi, said territory
being therein designated as ftGINOCC€IIO ADDITIONP said Resolution describing
the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WAWEAS, said Reselution No, 2562 did contain 8 notice of the day, hour
and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by
any person owning real property within tho territory proposed to be annexed,
the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor mere than sixty days
from the date of passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance with law; and
WKIDEAS, on the 17th day of October, 1962, at the hour of eight oPclodk
pgm, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Lodi, County of
San Joaquin, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and
place fixed in said Resolution Noe 2562 for hearing protests to the said
annexation, the said City Ceuucil did hear and pass upon all protests made
to the proposed annexation and did determine that protesta had not been made
by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory pro-
posed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by
public ewers of one-half of the ralue of the publicly awned territory pro-
posed to be annexed a8 determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Mi, and is
uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin; and
WHHEAS, the Planning Comnission of the City of todi has recommended that
said territory be classified in the R-2 One Family Residence District
coincident with annexation;
NOW, THJBEFORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi does hereby 8.pprove
the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Mi,
and does hereby further ordain that the said teeritory be and bs hereby

annexed to the City of Lodf and said territory is hereby classified in the

That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Wi is
herein approved, is all that territory situate in the CouRtJr of San Joaquin,
State of California, more particularly described as follows:
A portipn of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2, TO-
ship 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Biablo Base and Meridian, and
more particularly described as follows:
Beginuing at the Northeast corner of Lot 20, Oerard Tract
Subdivision, as filed far record on August 8, 1916, in Volum~ 8,
Page 62, Book of Haps and Pl.ats, San Joaquin County Records,
which point.is also a corner of the present boundary line of the
City of Mi; thence Southerly 196,83 feet along the East line
of said Lot 20, 'this line also being a boundary line of the City
of Mi to it? interaection with the South line of Let 20; thence
Westerly 442.0 feet along the Seuth lCne of Lot 20 to its inter-
section with the centerline of Lana Drive, previously known as
Lockeford Avenue; thence Southerly along the centerline of Lorraa
Drive 22 feet to a corner of the City boundary; thence Westerly
30 feet along a line 12 feet South of and parallel to the South
line of Tat 19, Gerard Tract, to the West line of Lama Drive; thence
Northerly 208,83 feet al6ng the West line of Lorna Drive, also a
City boundary, to the South line of Lot 18, Gerard Tract; thence
Westerly 621,9 feet along the South line of said Lot 18 to the
Southwest corner of Lot 18, which point is in the centerline of
Mills Avenue; thence Southerly 665,42 feet along the mnterline of
Mills Avenue, also a City boundary line, te a pint which jE 743*3
feet Northerly from the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 3, Township 3 North, Range 6 E, Mount Diable Base and
Meridian; thence Westerly 30 feet to an existing corner of the City
Limit lfne, which point is in the West line ef Mills Avenue; thence

a City Limit line, to the extended South line of Lot 7, Gerard
Tract; thence Eaaterly 30 feet along the said extended South 1i.m
of Ibt 7 to the centerline of Kills Avenue; thence Northerly 19643
feet, along the centerline of Mills Avenue, which line is the West
line of Lot 7 and also a City beundary line, to the Northwest
comer of Lot 7; thence Easterly 618.3 fee* along the North line
of Lot 7, also a City boundary line, to the West line of Loma Drive;
thence Southerly 196,83 feet along the West line ef Lorn Drive, a
City Limit line, to the North line of Lot 18, Gerard Tract; thence
Easterly 30 feet along the North line of said Lot 18 to the North-
east corner of Lot 18 on the centerline of said Loma Drive, which

190.83 feet along the East line of Lot 18, which said East line is
also the centerline of Loma Drive, to a corner of Ehe City bovlndary;
“thence Easterly 221.4 feet along a line 6 feet North of and parallel
to the North line of Let 20, Gerard Tract, to a corner of the City
boundary line; thence Southerly 6 feet along the City boundary line
to 10s intersection with the North line of Lot 20; thence Easterly
221,4 feet along the North line of Lot 20 to the point of beginning;

do hereby certify that Ordinance No. 737 was introduced at a
regular meeting of the City Council of said City held October
1.7, 1962, and was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to
print at a regular meeting held November 7, 1962, by the fol-
lowing vote:
