AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF
"WESTDALE ADDITION" TO THE CIm OF LODI
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNAPED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TKF, CITY OF LODI:
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of January, 1962, the Council of
the City of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2505 giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to
the City of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as "West-
dale Addition," said Resolution describing the boundaries of the
territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2505 did contain a notice of
the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City
would hear protests made by any person owning real property within
the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being
not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage
of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance
with law; and
mREAS, on the 7th day of March, 1962, at the hour of 8 p.m.,
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Lodi, County
of San Joaquin, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2505 for hearing
protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and
pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did deter-
mine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of
the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed
as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners
of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed
to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi, and
is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin;

NOW, THEREFORE, tihe said Council of the City of Lodi does
hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed to the City of Lodi, and does hereby further ordain that the
said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi.,.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Lodi is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County
of San Joaquin, State of California, more particularly described
as follows:
A portion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10,
Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Iqeridian, San Joaquin County, California, and more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of Section 10,
Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian, which point is 889 feet South of the Northeast
corner of said Section, and which point is also a corner
of the Lodi City Limits; thence North 89O 16l West along
the North line of the Woodbridge Irrigation District Canal
Right of Way, also a City Limit Line, 2,600.7 feet to the
East line of Lower Sacramento Road; thence South along the
East line of Lower Sacramento Road 491.85 feet to the South-
west corner of the property of Emma E. Dethlefsen, as shown
on Record of Survey filed September 30, 1940 in Volume 5,
page 145, Record of Surveys, San Joaquin County Records;
thence South 89O 12Q' East along the Soutk-i line of said
property 2,600.95 feet to the East line of'Section 10;
thence Northerly 494.4 feet along said East line of Section
10 to the point of beginning, the area thus described con-
taining 29.4 acres, more or less.

I, BEATRICE GARIBALDI, City Clerk of the City of Lodi, do
hereby certify that Ordinance No. 719 was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held March 7,
1962, and was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to print
at a regular meeting of said Council held March 21, 1962, by
the following vote:
AYES : Councilmen - BROWN, UTZAKIAN, MITCHELL, ULLMANN and
CULBERTSON
NOES: Cowailmen - NONE
ABSENT: Councilmen - NONE
