AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE AMSEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "CHEATHAM ADDITION" TO THE CITY OF LODI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI:
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of October 1961, the Council of the
City of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2475 giving notice
of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
City of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as "Cheatham
Addition, said Resolution describing the boundaries of the
terkitory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2475 did contain a notice of
the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City
would hear protests made by any person owning real property within
the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date
of passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance
with law; and
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of November 1961, at the hour of
8:Oo porn., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City
of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, said time
and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution
No. 2475 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said
City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the
proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been
made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned
territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized
assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value
of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined
by said legislative body; and

WHEFEAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi,
and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi does
hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed to the City of Lodi, and does hereby further ordain that
the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of Lodi is herein approved, is all that territory situate in
the CounCy of San Joaquin, State of California, more particularly
described as follows :
A portion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 11,
Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and
fleridian, San Joaquin County, California, and more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the West line of the North-
east Quarter of Section 11, Township 3 North, Range 6
East, Mount Diablo Bsse and Meridian, which point is
386.38 feet north of the Southwest corner of said Quarter
Section; thence northerly 1127.58 feet along said West
Line, this line being also a City Limit line of the City
of Lodi, to a corner of the City Limits; thence easterly
717.33 feet along a line parallel to the South line of
said Quarter, also a City boundary line, to the East line
of Fairmont Avenue; thence southerly 1127.58 feet along
the East line of Fairmont Avenue, also a City boundary line,
to a point; thence westerly 717.33 feet along a line parallel
to the South line of said Quarter to the point of beginning;
the area thus described containing 18.50 acres, more or less,

I, BEATRICE GARIBALDI, City Clerk of the City of Lodi, do
hereby certify that Ordinance No. 710 was introduced at a
regular meeting of the City Couacil held November 15, 1961,
and was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to print at
a regular meeting held December 6, 1961, by the following
vote:
AYES : Councilmen - BROWN KATZAKIAN, MITCHELL, ULLMA"
and ChBERTSON
NOES : Councilmen - NONE
ABSENT: Councilmen - NONE
I further certify that Ordinance No. 710 was qpproved and
signed by the Mayor on the date of its passage and that the
same has been published pursuant to law.
