AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "MAYER ADDITION"
TO THE CITY OF LODI
BE IT ORDAINED By THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODZ:
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of April, 1961, the Council of the
City of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2433 giving notice
of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
City of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as "Mayer
Addition, (I said Resolution describing the boundaries of the
territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said ResoluLion No. 2433 did contain a notice of
the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City
would hear protests made by any person owning real property within
the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the
date of passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance
with law; and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of May, 1961, at the hour of 8:OO
porn., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of
Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, said the and
place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No.
2433 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City
Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed
annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by
the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned terri-
tory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assess-
ment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the
publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi,
and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi does
hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed to the City of Lodi, and does hereby further ordain that
said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of Lodi is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the
County of San Joaquin, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:
A portion of the Southwest Quarter of Section
11, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo
Base and Meridian, San Joaquin County, California,
and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of Sec-
tion 11, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo
Base and Meridian, which point is 1846.5 feet East
of the Southwest corner of said Section and in the
center line of the Woodbridge Irrigation District
canal; thence Northerly 974 feet along the center
line of said irrigation canal to the true point of
beginning; thence continukng Northerly 977 feet along
the East line of the land owned by E. J. Brown, as
conveyed to her by deed recorded in Book trAtr of Deeds,
Volume 139, page 593, San Joaquin County Records;
thence Easterly 326.5 feet, more or less, to a line
which is 446.5 feet West of and parallel to the East
line of said Southwest Quarter; thence Southerly 977
feet along this line, also a City boundary line,
which is 446.5 feet West of and parallel to the East

line of said Quarter Section, to a corner of the
City Limit line; thence Westerly 335 feet, more or
less, along the City Limit line to the point of be-
ginning; the area thus descr
