AN ORDINBNCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY , DESI GNAT ED "REYNOLDS
ADDITION" TO THE CITY OF LODI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI:
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of February, 1961, the Council
of the City of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2417
giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited
territory to the City of Lodi, said territory being therein
designated as "Reynolds Addition," said Resolution describing
the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2417 did contain a notice
of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the
City would hear protests made by any person owning real prop-
erty within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of
said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty
days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance
with law; and
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of April, 1961, at the hour of
8 p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City
of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, said
time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said
Resolution No. 2417 for hearing protests to the said annexa-
tion, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all pro-
tests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that
protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the
value of the privately-owned territory proposed to be annexed
as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public
owners of one-half of the value of the publicly-owned territory
proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body;
and

WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi
and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin; and
WHEREAS, said petition contained a request that the prop-
erty proposed to be annexed to the City of Lodi be zoned in
the "M" Industrial District, and the City Council thereupon
referred the petition to the Planning Commission who in turn,
after hearing, recommended that the territory proposed for
annexation be classified in the "M" Industrial District;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi does
hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter
described to the City of Lodi, and does hereby further ordain
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City
of Lodi and said territory is hereby classified in the "Mn
Industrial District.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of Lodi is herein approved, is all that territory situate in
the County of San Joaquin, State of California, more particu-
larly described as follows :
A portion of the East 1/2 of Section 6, Town-
ship 3 North, Range 7 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the West line
of the East 1/2 of Section 6, Township 3 North, Range 7
East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian with the North
line of State Highway 12 (Victor Road); thence
easterly 670 feet, more or less, along the North line
of Highway 12, a portion of which line is a City
Boundary, to the extended East line of Lots 1 and 3,
Eddlemon Tract, as filed for record on December 23,
1887 in Volume 1, page 26, San Joaquin County Records;

thence northerly 710 feet, more or less, along the
extended East line of said Lots 1 and J to a point
17 feet. south of the.North line of Lot 3; thence
westerly 674 feet, more or less, along a line 17 feet
south of and parallel to the North line of Lot J
to the West line of the East 1/2 of Section 6,
which line is the center line of Reynolds Road;
thence southerly 720 feet, more or less, along the
West line of the East 1/2 of Section 6 to the point
of beginning; the area thus described containing 11.0 3;e.~i
acres, more or less.
