ORDINANCE NO. 69
AX ORDIKANCE PEOVIDING FOR THE ENPORCEhBldT OF THE RULES
AND RI<GT~XTIO~JS OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH OF TIEE CITY
OF LODI, BY ?&IKIEG CERTAIN ACTS AND O?dXISSIONS
UMLA!VUL, AND PROVIJ3ING PENALTIES TEEREFOR.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi do ordain as follows:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful within the City of
Lodi (1) for any person or person, natural or artificial,
willtully to violate, neglect or refuse compliance with any
sanitary rule or regulation of the Board of Health of the City
of Lodi, or (2 ) for any person or persons, natural or artificial,
in control (as owner, tenant, agent or otherwise ) of cl;u.' land,
house, 1x1 ild ing , structure, apartment, premises, or place at,
in or on which there shall be any violation or neglect of or
non-coirqliance with any sanitary rule or regula.tion of the
Board of Health of the City of Lodi, to fail, refuse or neglect
to cause such violation, neglect or non-compliance to cease
Within ten days after hairing receive& from the Board of Health
of the Cit,y of LOdi or any member of said Board a demand, oral
or written, that said violat ion, neglect or non-comy'liance
cease.
Section 2. Any person or perfions Sound guilty of
violation, neglect, refusal or non-compliance declared afore-
saia in this ordinance to be unlawful shall be punishable by
a fine not to exceed Ninety Dollars or by such Fine with the
alternative, in case or non-payment, of Lmprisoment in the
City Jail or the City of Lodi, or the County Jail Of the COUn-
ty of Sam Joaquin, at th.e rdte of one day for each two dollars
of fine, specifying the number of days in the judgment.

Section 3.- Nothing in this ordinance shall or does authorize the
prosecution thereunder of any person or persons for that for which
prosecution or punishment is provided in or by any Act of the Legis-
lature of the State of California,nor for the violation or neglect
of or non-compliance with any rule or regulation of said Board of
Health in conflict with or superseded by the provisions of any
ordinance of the City of Lodi.
Section 4.- This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an ordinance for
the immediate preservation of the public peace,health and safety,
and it shall have and take effect from and after its passage,approval
and posting.
Section 5.- This ordinance shall be printed and posted in three
public places in the’ City of Lodi.
