AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED WARCHESE ADDITION" TO THE CITY OF LODI
BE I?! ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TKE CITY OF LODI:
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of May, 1960, the Council of the
City of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2317 giving notice
of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
City of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as "Marchese
Addition," said Resolution describing the boundaries of the
territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2317 did contain a notice of
the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City
would hear protests made by any person owning real property within
the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said heari%
being not Less than forty nor more than sixty days from the
date of passage of said Resolution; and
WHElUAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance
with law; and
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of June, 1960, at the hour of 8
p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of
Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, said time and
place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. I
2317 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City;
Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed
annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by
the owners of one-half of the value of the privately-owned terri-
tory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assess-
ment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the
publicly-owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined
by said legislative body; and

WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi
and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin; and
WHEREAS, said petition contained a request that the property
proposed to be annexed to the City of Lodi be zoned in the R-3
Limited Multiple Family Residential District, and the City Council
thereupon referred the petition to the Planning Commission who
in turn, after hearing, recommended that the territory proposed
for annexation be classified in the R-3 Limited Multiple Family
Residential District;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi does
hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed to the City of Lodi, and does hereby further orda’in that
the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi
and said territory is hereby classified in the R-3 Limited
Multiple Family Residential District.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Lodi is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the
County of San Joaquin,-State of California, more particularly
described as follows :
A portion of the Southwest Quarter of Section 2, Town-
ship 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian, County of San Joaquin, State of California,
and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of the South-
west Quarter of Section 2, Township 3 North, Range 6 East,
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, which point is 381.25
feet west of the southeast corner of said Quarter; thence
northerly along the West line of the property deeded to
Edwin Thayer as recorded in Volume 841, page 425, San
Joaquin County Records, 264.0 feet to the South line of
the property deeded to Adolph Fischer, as recorded in
2.
Volume 1246, page 234, San Joaquin County Records;
thence westerly along the South line of said Fischer
property 165.0 feet to the West line of the South 10
acres of the East 33 acres of the Southwest Quarter
of Section 2; thence southerly along the said West
line 264.0 feet to the South line of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 2; thence easterly along the said
South line 165.0 feet to the point of beginning;;
the property thus described containing 1.0 acres,
more or less.
