HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 674ORDINANCE MOO 674 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY , DESIGNATED ''ZORNIG ADDITION'' TO THE CITY OF LODI BE IT ORDAIMED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI: I WHEREAS, on the 24th day of February, 1960, the Council of the City of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2295 giving Addition", said Resolution describing the boundaries of the terri- tory proposed to be annexed; and I 1 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2295 did oontain a notice of the I day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City Mould I hear protests made by any pereon owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of' , , I notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as "2ornig I I passage of said Resolution; and I WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in acroordance with law; and WHEREAS, on the 6th day of April, 1960, at the hour of 8 in the Council Chambers in the City $all of the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2295 for hearing ' protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one- half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by publio owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned terri- tory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin: WOW, THEREFORE:, the said Council of the City of Lodi does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Lodi, and does hereby further ordain that the said kerritory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi. That the said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Lodl is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of 8an Joaquin, State of California, more particularly described as follows o - 1- A portion of the Southeast Quarter of Seotion 11, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, San Joaquin County, California, and more particularly described as follows: east Charter of Section 11, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, which point is 25,OO feet north of the Southwest corner of said Quarter and situated on the North line of Kettleman Lane; thence North 0' 10' East along the West line of said Quarter, which is a180 a boundary line of the City of Lodi, 1641.5 feet to the Southwest corner of a certain parcel deeded to the Lodi Memorial Hospital Association, Inoorporated, as filed for record on June 11, 1948 in Volume 1122, page 485, San Joaquin County Reclords; thence South 8g0 30' East along the South line of said Lodi Memorial Hospital Association property, said line also a boundary line of the City of Lodi, 660 feet to the West line of Fairmont Avenue (formerly Walnut Avenue); thence South Oo 10' West along the West line of Fairmont Avenue 1645.6 feet to the North line of Kettleman Lane; thenoe HorCh 89' 07$' West along the North line of Kettleman Lane 660.0 feet to the point of beginning; the area thus described con- faining 24.90 acres, more or less.
