AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "RAY ADDITION," TO THE CITY OF LODI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI:
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of May, 1959, the Council of the City
of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2227 giving notice of the
proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Lodi,
said territory being therein designated as "Ray Addition," said
Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to
be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2227 did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear
protests made by any person owning real property within the territory
proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than
forty nor more €han sixty days from the date of passage of said Reso-
lution; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance with law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of June, 1959, at the hour of 8:oo p.m.,
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Lodi, County
of San Joaquin, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2227 for hearing
protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and
pass UpOh all protests made to the proposed annexation and did deter-
mine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of
the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed
as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners
of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed
to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; an'd
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi, and
is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin;

NOW, .THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi does hereby
approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the
City of Lodi, and does hereby further ordain that the said territory
be and is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Lodi
is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of
San Joaquin, State of California, more particularly described as
follows :
A portion of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3,
Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian,
San Joaquin County, California, and more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of said Quarter,
said point being 233 feet Southerly from the Northeast
corner of said Quarter; thence Western along a line paral-
lel to the North line of said Quarter, 660 feet; thence
Southerly along a line parallel to the East line of said
Quarter, 808 feet; thence Easterly along a line parallel
to and 1612 2/3 feet North of the South line of said
Quarter, 660 feet to a point on the East line of said
Quarter, thence Northerly along the East line of said
Quarter, which line is a boundary line of the City of Lodi,
809 feet to the point of beginning; the property thus
described containing 12.3 acres, more or less.

certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 647 was regularly intro-
duced in the City Council of said City on June 5, 1959 ,and was
thereafter, on the 17th day of June, 1959, passbd, adopted and
ordered to print by the following vo$er
