WHEREAS, the Boundary ~ommiesion of San Joaquin County
did on the 11th day of February, 1958 approve the boundary
line description of the hereinafter described territory, pro-
posed for annexation to the City of Lodi, as to definiteness
and certainly, and
of the City of Lodi did ihitiate proceedings and declare its
intention to annex to said City the hereinaftek described unin-
habited teF bry, thereupoh Hesolution NO, 2@3, giving notice
of the prbp d annexation and of the time and, place for the
hearing of ,protests Agaihst such annexation3 W&S adopted by

Was given owaers of property within the territory proposed for annexation by publioation of said fiesolution No. 2223 in

the City of Lodi as is evidenoed by affidavit thereof on file
and Of record in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Lodi, said publication being oompleted' more than twenty days
prior to the date set in Resolution 1\30, 222'3, and
WHESEAS, on the 15th day of April, 195gr City CounOil

conduct a public hearing for the hearing of protests or objections
againat the annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi,
and said protests being heard, considered and pasaed upon by
said eity Council, and feund to have been made by owners of
less than one-hslf of the assessed value of the territory

TEIE CITY COUNCI& OF T1HE CITY OF LODI DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The annexation of the following described
uninhabited territory in San Joaquin County, oontiguous to the
City of Lodi, designated "West Lockeford Street Addition" ier
hereby approved md the same ia hereby declared to be annexed
to and made part of the City of Lodi:
A portion of the Northweet Quarter of Section 2,
Township 3 1TortI-i Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Baae and
pjeridian, Sail Jo uin County, California, and more
particularly desoribed as f ollbwpr:
Beginning a% the southeaet corner of the Northwest
quarter of said Sectibn 2; thence webterly along the aouth
lind of said J'Jorthwedt Quarter 429.29 feet to the true
pbinij of beginning, Vhich point is alao i$ coener of the
present boundary line of the bity of Lodi; thence .northesly
trnd parbllel to the east line of said Northwest Quarter
along a line, which is aldo b baunddry line of the city
of Lodi, 439 feet to Its hteilection with the oenterline
of West Lockef ord Street, previously known &s Lockeford
Avenue; thence westerly along said centerline of Vest
Lockeford Street, also a City boundary, 670.5 feet to its
intersection with the centerline of Cross Street; thence
northerly along the said centerline of Cross Street, also
a City bounitary, 30 feet to its intersection with the
extended north line of West Lockeford Street; thence
Westerly along the north line of West Lockeford Street,
also a City boundary, 442.8 feet to the southeast corner
of Lot 36, Gerard Tract eubdi~isio~i, 8s filed for record
on August 8, 1916 at page 62, Vo1uUie a, Book of Maps and
Plats, San Joaquin County Records, which point is also
a corner of the present City boundary? thence continuing
along the north line of West Lockeford Street 442.8 feet
to it;s intersection with the centerline of Lorna Drive,
previously known a8 the northerly extension of Lockeford
Avenue; thence southerly along the centerline of Lorna
Drive, also a City boundary, 30 feet t4 its intersection
with the centerline of West Lockeford Street; thence
easterly along the centerline of dest Lockef ord Street, also a City boundary, 860.6 feet to its intersection with
the extended west line of Cross Street; thence southerly
along the extended west line of Cross Street, also a City
boundary, 30 feet to its intersection with the south line of West Lockeford Street; thence easterly along the
extended eouth line of Weaf Lockeford Street, also a

City Boundary, 50 feet to its intersection with the east
line of Cross Street; thence sroutherly along the east
line of Cross Street, also a City Boundary, 409 feet to
its intersection with the eouth line of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 2; thence easterly along the said
south line of the IJorthwest Quarter, also a City boundary
line, 645.5 feet to the true point of beginning: the
described area containing 6.9 acres, more or less.
Reference is hereby made to a map or plat on file in the
offlce of the City Clerk of this City delineating the boundaries
next above described.
Section 2, This ordinance shall be published one time
in the "Lodi News-Sentinel", a daily newspaper of general
ciroulation printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall
be in force and take effect thirty clrtys from and after its
pas 8 age
the City Clerk shall immediately prepare under seal a certified
copy of the ordinance, giving the date of its passage, and
transmit it to the Secretary of Stated She shall also comply
with the provisions of such tjtatutes as may be applicable
hereto to effect the purposes hereof4
Section 3. Upon the effective date of this ordinance,

I, BEATRICE GARIBALDI, City Clerk of the City of Lodi
and ex officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do
hereby certify that Ordinance Xo. 644 was introduced at a
regular meeting of said City Council held Nay 20, 1959, and
was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to print at a
regular meeting held June 3, 1959, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen - KatBakian, Mitchell, Robinson
and Brown
NOES: Councilmen - None
ABSENT: Councilmen - Culbertson
I further certify that Ordinance No, 644 was approved
and signed by the Mayor on %he date of its passage and that
