ORDINANCE NO. 601
ESTABLISHING BUILDING SETBACK LINES ON
STOCKTON STREET BETWEEN TURNER ROAD AND
LAWRENCE AVENUE AND BETWEEN LODI AVENUE AND KETTLEMAN LANE.
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as
follows :
Section 1. From and after the effective date of this
ordinance, no building or structure, except public works
appertaining to the portion of street hereinafter described,
shall be erected, placed or maintained between two lines
drawn parallel to and 40 feet East and West from, the Center
Line of Stockton Street between Lawrence Avenue and Turner
Road, said Center Line being delineated on the Map of Lawrence
Homestead Addition filed April 5, 1920, Xn Volume 10, Page 5,
Book of Maps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records.
Section 2. From and after the effective date of this
ordinance, no building or structure, except public works apper-
taining to the portion of street hereinafter described, shall
be erected, placed or maintained between two lines drawb,.parallel
to and 35d- feet East and West from the Center Line of Stockton
Street between Lodi'Avenue and Vine Street, said Center Line
being delineated on the Map of Lodi Barnhart Tract filed November
5, 1906, in Volume 3, Page 48, Book of Maps and Plats, San
Joaquin County Records.
Section 3. From and after the effective date of this
ordinance, no building or structure, except public works apper-
taining to the portion of street hereinafter described, shall
be erected, placed or maintained East of a line drawn parallel
to and 41 feet West of the Center Line of Stockton Street

between Vine Street and Kettleman Lane, said Center Line being
delineated on the Map of Lodi Barnhart Tract filed November 5,
1906, in Volume 3, Page 48, Book of Maps and Plats, San Joaquin
County Records.
Section 4. The Building Inspector of the City of Lodi
shall not issue any building permit in violation hereof and
any building or structure hereafter erected between the center
lines above mentioned and the building set back lines herein
established shall be deemed a public nuisance and may be abated

Section 5. This ordinance shall be published one time i

in'the "Ldi News Sentinelff, a newspaper of general circulation
printed'and published in the City of Lodi, and shall be in force
and take effect thirty days from and af er its passage. 21
