ORDERING TRE VACATION OF A TIN-FOOT STRIP ON

The City Counoil of the City of Lodi does ordain a8 follows:
WEIEREii416, this City Council, acting in accordance with the
provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the streets and Highways
Code of this State (The Streee Vacation Act of 19411, did on
the 17th day of Julyg,1957, pass and adopt its Resolution of
Intention No: 2039, therein decrlarlng the intention of said
City Council to vacate a portion of Pleasant Avenue as particu-
larly described in said Resolution, and

WHEREAS, notice of said intended vacation was regularly
given by publiqation and by posting, both in the, form and
manner as required by law as is evidenced by affidavits on file
and of record in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Lodi, and
wwE1IEAS, in accordance with the provision stated in said
Resolution No. 2039 and also contained in the posted notices
of the adoption of said Resolution, notice was given that a
public hearing would be held before said City Co,wcfl in the
City Council Chambeas City Hall, Lodi,, California, beginning
at 8:OO o'clock p.m. of Wednesday, August 7, 1957, where and
when any person interested in or objecting to said street vaca-
tion could appear and be heard in relation thereto, and
WHEREAS, at that time and place a public hearing was held
and conducted and testimony received for and against the Vaca-
tion contemplated, and From the evidenae submitted, the City
Council of the City of Lodi did on the 7th day of August, 1957,

or future public use and did so find and declare, now therefore,

Section 1. The following described portion of street in
the City of Lodi QS hereby ordered vacated, closed up and abandoned:
The East 10 feet OF the West 20 feet of Pleasant
Avenue from %he S3auth line of Daisey Avenue to the
North line of the Southern Pacific Company Mght-
of-Way and adjacent; to Lot 11, Burr’s Addition as
recorded in Volume 1, page 4, Book of Maps and Plats,
San Joaquin County Reaords.
Seetion 2. This Ordinance shall. be published one time
in t--e “Lodi News-Sentinel”, 8 newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall be in force
and take effect at the time and in the manner provided by law.
The City Clerk shall cause a certified COPY of this ordinance
to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of San
Joaquin County as required by Section 8324 of the Streets and
Highways Code of this State.
