ORDINANCE NO, 592
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF THE HAM LANE ANNEX TO THE CITY OF LODI AND DECLARING THAT THE SUE IS ANNEXED TO AND UDE PART OF THE CITY OF LODI
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County did
on the 22nd day of April, 1954, approve the boundary line descrip- tion of the hereinafter described territory, proposed for annexa- tion to the City of Lodi, as to definiteness and certainty, and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of April, 1957, the City Council of
the City of Lodi did initiate proceedings and declare its intention to annex to said City the hereinafter described uninhabited terri-
tory. Thereupon Resolution No. 2019, giving notice of the proposed
annexation and of the time and place for the hearing of protests
against such annexation, was adopted by said City Council, such
hearing to be held in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Lodi,
California, beginning at 8:OO o*clock p.m. of Wednesday, June 5,
1957, and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of said Resolution No.
2019, conforming therewith and with the provisions of the "Annexa- tion of Uninhabited Territory wet of 1939", notice was given owners of property within the territory proposed for annexation
by publication of said Resolution No. 2019 in newspapers of general
circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi and in San
Joaquin County outside said City as is evidenced by affidavits thereof on file and of record in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lodi, said publications being completed more than
twenty days prior to the date of hearing set in Resolution No. 2019, and
WHEREAS, on the 5th day 0.f June, 1957, at the hour of 8:OO o'clock par of said day, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall,
Lodi, California, pursuant to resolution and notice aforesaid,
the City Council of the City of Lodi did hold and conduct a public
hearing for the hearing of protests or objections against the annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi, and said ro-

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1, The annexation of the following described unin- habited territory in San Joaquin County, contiguous to the City of Lodi, designated '?Ham Lane Annex" is hereby approved and the same is hereby declared to be annexed to and made part of the City of Lodi:
A portion of' the West one-half of Section 2, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, kount Diablo Base and Meridian, San Joaquin County, California, and more particularly de-
scribed as follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection between the
South line of the North 10 acres of the East 33 acres of
the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2 and the East line of said Southwest Quarter, which point is also a corner of the present boundary line of the City of Lodi, and run- ning northerly along said East line and its northerly extension, said line being also a City boundary line, to
its intersection with the center line of West Lockeford Street, which point being also a corner of said City boundary line; thence westerly along said center line and City boundary line a distance of 429.25 feet; thence south- erly and parallel to the East line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 2 to the South line of said Northwest Quarter; thence Westerly along said South line 117 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of Lot 39 as said lot

San Joaquin County Records, which point is also a corner of the present City boundary line; thence southerly along the west line of the East 33 acres of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 2, and City boundary line, a distance of 799.83 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the South line of the North 10 acres of the East 33 acres of said Southwest Quarter, which point is also a corner of said City boundary line; thence easterly along said South
line and City boundary line a distance of 546.25 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, containing 14.3
acres, more or less,
Reference is hereby made to a map or plat on file in the
August 8 , 1916, at page 62, Vol. 4, Book of Maps and Plats,
office of the City Clerk of this City delineating the boundaries next above described,
Section 2. This ordinance shall be published one time in the '*hdi News-Sentinel", a daily newspaper of general circula-
tion printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall be in
force and take effect thirty days from and after its passage,
Section 3. Upon the effective date of this ordinance, the
