W€URBAS, the Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County did,
on the 4tb day of EIIarch,.1957, approve the boundary line descrip- tion of the hereinafter described territory, proposed for annexa- tion to the City of Lodi, as to definiteness and certainty, and
of the City of Lodi did initiate proceedings and declare its intention to annex to said City the hereinafter described unin- habited territory, thereupon liesolution >To, 2016, Ziving notice of the proposed annexation and of the time and place for the hearing of nrotests asainst such annexation, was adopted by said
City Council, such hearing to be held in the City Council Chmbers, City Hall, Lodi, California, beginninz at 8:QO o'clock prm. of
Wednesday, Kay 15, 1947, and
WHZRZAS, on the 3rd day of April, 1957, the City Council
',VH=RXAS, subsequent to the adoption of said- %solution No, 2016, conforming therewith and with the provisions of the
"Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", notice was
given owners of proFerty within the territory Cro:>osed for annexa-
tion by publication of said 3esolution 3To. 2016 in newspapers of general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi
and in San Joaquin County outside said City as is evidenced- by affidavits thereof on file and of record in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Lodi, said publications bein2 completed more than twenty days prior to the date of hearing set in Reso- lution No. 2016, and
o'clock P,m. of said day, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Lodi, California, pursuant to resolution and notice afore-
said, the City Council of the City of Lodi did hold and conduct a public hearing for the hearins of Trotests or obje.ctions against
the annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi, and said
protests beins heard, considered and passed upon by said City Council, and found to have been made by owners of less than one- half of the assessed value of the territory Groposed to be annexed
as shown by the last equalized assessment roll of San Joaquin
County, California, now therefore
WHERSAS, on the 15ih day of Hay, 1957, at the hour of 8:OO

Section I. The amexation of the following described
uninhabited territory in San Joaquin County, contisous to the
City of Lodi, designated "Yaith Tabernacle Addition" is hereby
agproved and the sacie is hereby declared to be annexed to and
made part of the City of Lodi:
ii yortion of the Northmest Quarter of Zection 2, Town-
ship 3 North, 3anS.e 6 Sast, IIount Diablo Base and Mer-
idian, Xan Joaquin County, and more particularly described as follows:
The South 63 feet of the ";Torth 75 feet of Lot 26, Gerard Tract, according to official map or plat thereof
filed August 8, 1916, 3ook of Naps and Plats, Sol. 8,
Page 62, San Joaquin County 3ecords.
Reference is hereby made to a map or plat on file in the
office of the City Clerk of this City delineatinz the boundaries next above described.
Section 2, This ordinance shall be published one time in
the "Lodi Xews-Sentinel" , a daily newspaper of general circu- lation yrintec an& pblished in the City of Lodi and shall be in force and take effect thirty days from and after its passage.
City Clerk shall inmediately nrepare under seal a certified copy of the ordinance, Siving the date of its passage, and transnit it to the Secretary of State. He shall also comply with the pro- visions of such statutes as Eay lie applicable hereto to effect the purgoses hereof
Section 3, Upon the effective date of this ordinance, the
