HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 536In the City Council City of Lodi Lodi, California ORDINANCE NO. 536 ESTABLISHING A BUILDING SET-BACK LINE ON SOUTH SACRAMENTO STREeT FROM WEST LODI AVENUB TO THE CUL-DE-SAC SOUTH OF TAMARACK IJRIVE 30 FEXT EAST AND WEST OF TH5 CENTEX LINE OF SAID S!EiEET. The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: Section 1. From and after the effective date of this or- dinance, no building or structure, except public works appestain- ing to the portion of street hereinafter described, shall be erected, placed or maintained between two lines drawn parallel to a line lying 214 feet westerly from and parallel to the center line of the North-South right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, and 30 feet East and West therefrom, from the intersection of said line with the South line of West Lodi Avenue southerly to the cul-de-sac South of Tamarack Drive. is further described as being the center line of South Sacramento Street as said street is described on the "Map of Larson's Addi- tion to Lodi" filed April 4, 1896, and its southerly extension to the cul-de-sac South of Tamarack Drive. Said line Section 2. The Building Official of the City of Lodi shall not issue any building permit in violation hereof and any build- ing or structure hereafter placed or erected between the line above mentioned and the building-set-back lines herein established shall be deemed a public nuisance and may be abated as such. Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi News-Sentinell', a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi, and shall be in force and take effect thirty days from and after its passage.
