HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 515City Council City of Lodi Lodi, California ORDINANCE NO. 515 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A BUILDING SET-BACK LINE ON WEST LODI AVENUE FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SOUTH HUTCHINS STREET TO THE WEST CITY LIMITS. The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: Section 1. From and after the effective date of this ordinance, no building or structure, except public works appertaining to the por- tion of street hereinafter described, shall be erected, placed o main- tained between the north line of Section 11, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, M. D. B. & M., San Joaquin County, California, and lines drawn .( parallel to said section line and forty feet (40') north and south therefrom along West Lodi Avenue from South Hutchins Street westerly to the western City Limits of Lodi as the same now exist or as said limits may be extended westerly in the future by annexation., Section 2. The Building Official of the City of Lodi shall not issue any building permit in violation hereof and any building or structure hereafter placed or erected between the section line above mentioned and the building set-back lines herein established shall be deemed a public nuisance and may be abated as such. Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one time in the Lodi "News-Sentinel", a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi, and shall be in force and take effect thirty *(30) days from and after its passage. -F I, HENRY A. GLAVES, JR., City Clerk of the City of Lodi and Clerk of the Council, do hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance No. 515 was introduced in regular meeting of the City Council of said city on October 6, 1954, and was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to print at a regular meeting of said City Council held NWember 3, 1954, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen - Hughes, Mitchell, Richey, Robinson and Fuller NOES: Councilmen - None ABSENT: Councilmen - None I fuether certify that Ordinance No. 515 was approved and signed by the Mayor on the date of its adoption and has been published pur- suant to law. - 2-
