An ordinance fixing the salaries and compensation of the
City Clerk, Treasurer, Marshal, Recorder and Health 0fficer.j
The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi do ordain as
f 0 ll0WS :
The officers of the City of Lodi hereinafter named, Prom
and after thefifirst day of January, 1907, shall severally
receive compensation as follows, the same to be in full for
all services during their respective terms:

City Clerk. Section 1,- The City Clerk and exofficio Assessor, shall 3 receive a salary of $40.00 per month, and such other suiri or
sums aa may be I' allowed,,for df the-employment of deputies when
in the judgment of the Board of Trustees such deputies
are necessary.
City Section 2.- The City Treasurer shall receive as compensa-
Treasures. tion one per cent on all moneys received and paid by him as
such Treasurer. He may credit himself with such per cent
in his settlement with the City Clerk. @
Section 3.- The City Marshal and ex-officio Tax and
License Collector shall receive a salary of, Seventy dollars
($70.00 per iuonth,[and in addition to his duties
prescribed by Section 880 of the Municipal Corporations
Act approved March 13, 1898,) he shall have general-super-
vision of the streets 'of the City of Lodi.

city Section 4.- The City Recorder shall receive a salary of
Recorder. $10.00 per month for his services in criminal prosecution
for violation of city ordinances, and he shall receive
from the parties in civil cases such fees as are or may be
allowed by the statute to Justices of the Peace for like
services, provided that the city shall pay no costs or
fees not collected from the adverse party and when less
than the whole amount adjudged to the city be collected.
Such cost shall be payable pro rata with the amount
collected.
. Health Officer.
Section 5.- The City Health Officer shall receive a salary
of $10.00 per month.
Section 6.- This ordinance shall be published by,posting +3%
the same in three public places in the City of Lodi.
Section 7.- This ordinance shall be in force and take
effect immediately on approval and publication.
Section 8.- All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
