The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows:
Section 1. The provisions set forth in Volumnes I and I11
of the "Uniform Building Code", 1952 Edition, Copyright , 1953
by the Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference , together with
the Appendices thereto, are hereby adopted and shall obtain in
all matters pertaining to the erection, construction, enlarge-
ment , alteration, repair, moving removal ) conversion, dernolition,
occupancy, equipment, use height , area and maintenance of build-
ings or structures in the City of Lodi, California, to the issuance
of building permits and the collection of fees therefore and to
the enforcement of the rules and regulations as set forth in said
Uniform Building Code, Edition of 1952, which Code is hereby
adopted as the Building Code of the 'ity of Lodi.
Section 2. Ordinance No. 346, identical in title with this
Ordinance but adopting the '!Uniform Building Code", 1946 Edition,
is hereby repealed and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are also hereby repealed in so far as such con-
flict may exist,
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one time in
the Lodi News-Sentinel, Lodi, California, and shall be in force
and take effect thirty days after its passage.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance 110. 4.87
was introduced in regular meeting of said City Council
held May 6, 1953, and was thereafter passed, adopted
and ordered to print at a regular meeting of the City
Council held Nay 20, 1953, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen - Hhskell, Preszler, Rinn, and
Richey
NOES: Councilmen - None
ABSENT: Councilrrlen - Robinson
I FURTHER CEKTIFY that Ordinance IUo. 487 was approved
and signed by the Mayor on the date of its passage and
has been published pursuant to law.
