ORDINxNCE NO. 486
DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI TO VACiiTh CERTAIN STREETS AND
ALLEYS IN LANREr!CE HOD@SThAl) ADDITICjlV AND IN
LAWRENCE HOfiZSTEriD ADDITION NO. 2, ALL IN THE
CITY OF LODI
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOU1 DOES ORDaIN AS
FOLLOWS :
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Lodi, acting in accordance with the provisions of Part 3
of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, to vacate, close, and abandon as public streets and
alleys the following streets and alleys situated in the City of
Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, more parti-
cularly described as follows, to wit:
Vine Street
Willow Street
That portion of Main Street lying iVorth of Lawrence nvenue.
Almond Street, excepting the North one-half of said Street
4 which lies West of Stockton Street.
That portion of Lawrence Avenue lying East of Stockton
Street.
as all of said streets are designated on the map en-
titled, Viap of Lawrence Homestead Addition", which Rap
was filed April 5, 1920 in Vol. 10, page 5, Book of
Naps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records, and
That portion of Central Avenue lying North of Lockeford

Street.
That portion of Washington Street lying North of
Lawrence Avenue.
That portion of Kain Street lying North of Lawrence
Avenue.
Wilson Avenue.
Almond Street, excepting the North one-half of that
portion of said Almond Street lying West of
Stockton Street.
Pioneer Avenue.
That portion of Lawrence Avenue lying East of Stock-
ton Avenue.
Those areas designated as TralleyT1 lying within Blocks
7, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, md 23
as all of said streets and alleys are designated on the
map entitled, Wap No. 2 of Lawrence Homestead Addition",
which Map was filed August 10, 1922 in Vol. 10, page 59,
Book of Maps and Plats, San Joaquin County Kecords.
Reference is hereby made to a map or plan on file with the
office of the City Clerk of the City of Lodi for the particulars
as to the proposed vacations.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lodi does
hereby find that public convenience and necessity require the
reservation and exception from said vacation, the permanent
easement and right at any time to maintain, operate and con-
struct lines of pipe, conduit, cables, poles, equipae-nt and
fixtures for the operation of water, sewer, gas, telephone and
electric lines now located in or to be located within said streets
and which reservations and exceptions are described as follows:

A 15 foot strip of land lying in that portion of Plain
Street North of Lawrence Avenue and lying 7$ feet on
each side of the center line of said portion o'r Main
Street as said street is designated on the map en-
titled Vlap of Lawrence Homestead Addition", which
map was filed April 5, 1920 in Vol. 10, page 5, in
Book of Naps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records.
A 15 foot strip of land lying in that portion of Main
Street North of Lawrence Avenue and lying 7; feet on
each side of the center line of said portion of Main %-
Street as said street is designated on the map entitled
"Map No. 2 of Lawrence Homestead Addition", which map
was filed August 10, 1922 in vol. 10, page 59, Book of
haps and Plats, ban doaquin County Records.
These proceedings are taken subject to such reservations
and exceptions.
Section 3. NOTICE IS HEkEBY GIVLN that this City Council
does hereby fix WXlIIGESDAY, JU&E 3, 1953, at the hour of 8:OO
o'clock p.m. and the CITY CUUNCIL CHAMBEErS, CITY HdL, LODI,
CALIFORNIA, as the tirile and place when and where all persons
interested in or objecting to the vacation herein proposed may
appear before this City Council and be heard.
Section 4. Upon adoption of this ordinance the Superinten-
dent of Streets shall post, or cause to be posted, notice of such
passage and of the time and place set herein for public hearing,
in accordance with and in time, form and manner as prescribed by
law for the vacation of public streets.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be published one time in
the "Lodi News-Sentinel" , a newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall be in force
and take effect at the time and in the manner provided by law.
