APPm VING THE ANNEYALTI ON OF LOWE S
sDDiTIOM TO THE CITY OF LODIX
DECLARING THAT THE SALE IS ANNEmD
TO AND ILiADE PART OF THE CITY OF LODI
WHEi-1EAS, The Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County
did on the 7th day of ~ugust,1952 approve the boundary line
description of the hereinafter described territory, proposed
for annexation to the City of Lodi, as to definiteness and
certainty, and
TidHEiIJGiS, subsequent to the approval of said Boundary
Commission and on the 20th day of August, 1952 a verified
petition requesting the annexation of said territory was filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Lodi, whkh petition was
presented to thecity Council of the City of Lodi on August 20,
1952, together with the certificate of said City Clerk that
petitioners represented more than one-fourth of the property in
said territory both by area and by,,psessed value; that there
are less than twelve regihtere'd electors residing therein and
that said territory 55s contiguous to the City of Lodi.
upon Resolution 1Vumber 91, giving notice of the proposed
annexation and of a time and place for the hearing of protests
against annexation, was adopted by said City Council, such
hearing to be held in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Lodi,
California, beginning at 8:OO o'clock p.m. of Wednesday, October
1, 1952, and

LJHEHLAS , subsequent to the adoption of said Eesolution
140. lb91, conforming therewith and with the provisions of the
flAnnexation of Uninhabited Territory ict of 1939" , notice was
given owners of property within the territory proposed for
annexation by publication of said Resolution No. 1691 in news-
papers of general circulation printed and published in the City o
of Lodi and in San Joaquin County outside said City and by the
mailing of notices to said property owners as is evidenced by
affidavits thereof on file and of record in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Lodi, said publications and said
inailing being completed more than twenty days prior to the date
of hearing set in liesolution ho. 1691, and
WHilREAS, on the 1st day of October, 1952 at the hour of
8:OO o'clock p.m. of said day, in the City Council Chambers,
City Hall, Lodi, California, pursuant to resolution and notice
aforesaid, the City Council of the City of Lodi did hold and
conduct a public hearing for the hearing of protests or objections
againsr; the annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi,
and said protests being heard, considered and passed upon by said
City Council, and found to have been made by owners of less than
one-half of the assessed vdue of the territory proposed to be
annexed as shown by the last equalized assessrnent roll of San
Joaquin Couiity , California, now therefore
FOLLOWS :
THE CITY CljUNClL OF THE CITY OF LGDI LK)E;S ORDAIN AS
Section 1. The annexation of the following described un-
inhabited territory in San Joaquin County, contiguous to the City
of Lodi, designated 'fLO1E'S ADDI'I'IOI\Jtf is hereby approved and the
same is hereby declared to be annexed to and made part of the
City of Lodi:
A portion of the Northwest Quarter (NW$) of Section
Thirteen (13) , Township three (3) North, Range six (6)
East, Piount Diablo Base and Leridian, and more particu-
larly described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the West Line of
the Southern Pacific Bailroad, with the Section line
between Sections Twelve (12) ad Thirteen (13), Town-
ship Three (3) North, Range Six (6) East, blount Diablo
Base and heridian, and running thence West along said
Section line 12.92 chains; thence bouth b0 43' West
24.08 chains; thence Last parallel with said Section
line between Sections 12 and 13, 12.08 chhins to the
West line of said Southern Pacific ilailroad; thence
iuortherly along said uest line of said Southern Pacific
Railroad to the point of beginning, and containing
30 acres, more or less.
Together with d strip of land twenty-five (25)
feet in width (idorth one-half of kettleman Lane) laying
between the above description and the South line of the
present City Limit Line of the City of Lodi.
Section 2. This ordinance whall be published one time
in the %odi News-Sentinelft, a daily newspaper of general cir-
culation printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall
be in force and take effect thirty days from and after its
passage.
Section 3. bpon the effective date of this ordinance,
the City Clerk shGll immediately prepare under seal a certified
copy of the ordinance, giving the date of its passage, and
transmit it to the Secretary of State. Iie shall also comply
with the provisions o€ such statutes as may be applicable
hereto to efTect the purposes hereof.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 467 was intro-
duced in regular meeting of said City Council held October 1,
1952, and was thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to print
at an adjourned meeting of the City Council held October 22,
1952, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen, Preszler, Kichey, Rinn, Robinson,
and Haskell.
NOES: Councilmen , hone.
ABSENT: Councilmen, None.
