AGENDA TITLE: Master Agreement Administering Agency -State Agreement for Federal -Aid Projects
and Program Supplement to Local Agency -State Agreement No. 10-5154 for
Preliminary Engineering of Cherokee Lane Street Lighting

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution approving the
modified Master Agreement and Program Supplement No. 001-M to the
Local Agency -State Agreement No. 10-5154 covering the preliminary
engineering for the Cherokee Lane Street Lighting and authorizing the
City Manager to sign the agreements on behalf of the City.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Master Agreement Administering Agency -State Agreement for
Federal -Aid Projects was modified by the State and reflects the
new provisions of the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency
Act (ISTEA) and the reengineered Local Assistance Procedures.
The State requests that all agencies sign this latest version. The approving resolution can be combined
with the program supplement for the Cherokee Lane Street Lighting.
This program supplement covers the preliminary engineering for the street lights being installed along
Cherokee Lane as part of the revitalization improvement project. Because of the delay in the start of
the construction, the only funds available for this project are for preliminary engineering. With approval
of this program supplement, the City can bill for the amount obligated. There were $15,000 in Federal
Hazard Elimination/Safety (HES) funds obligated for this portion of this project.

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE
MODIFIED MASTER AGREEMENT ADMINISTERING AGENCY -
STATE AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL -AID PROJECTS AND
PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT NO. 001-M TO LOCAL AGENCY -
STATE AGREEMENT NO. 10 5154 FOR PRELIMINARY
ENGINEERING OF CHEROKEE LANE STREET LIGHTING
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council hereby approves the modified
Master Agreement Administering Agency -State Agreement for Federal -Aid Projects and
Program Supplement No. 001-M to Local Agency -State Agreement No. 10-5154 for
preliminary engineering of Cherokee Lane Street Lighting; and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of the City.
