ORDINANCE NO, 429 ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS AND REGULATIONS FOR INSTALLATION OF COMC€U3TE SIDEMALKS, CURBS AND GUTTERS IN mE CITY OF LODI. The clty council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: 1. Permits: No person, firm or corporation shall construct, repair, remove or demolish any curb and gutter driveways or sidewalk on public streets or publ5.c property without first obtaining a per- mit for such work from the City Engineer. This permit must be posted on the premises at the time work begins arid shall not be peltloved except by the City Engineer or a duly authorized represen- tative. Plans showing construction details will be issued with the pemit. 2. Supervision and Inspection: After having obtained permit and at least one day prior to beginning any work, the City Engineer's Office shall be contacted so that stakes can be set for proper alignment and grade, After forms have been completed and at least one-half day prior to placing of concrete, the City Engineer's Office shall again be contacted so that forms may be checked to assure proper alignment and grade. authorized representative will check work and take samples as necessary to assure compliance with these specifications. Final Cleanup: Upon compleGion and before making appli- cation for acceptance of the work the City right of way or ground disturbed or occupied in connection with the work shall be cleaned of all rubish, excess mat and all parts of the work shall be left in a neat and presentable eondition. 11. Violations and Penalties: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof -5- during which any violation of my of the provisions of this or- dinance is comitted, continued or permitted, and upon conviction of any such violation, each person shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $300, or by imprisonment for not more than three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. 12. re hereby repealed in so far as such conflict may exist.
