ORDTNAECE NO. 392
RELATING TO THE CITY PUNNING COMMISSION;
CONTINUING THE TERMS OF OFFICE OF PRESENT
MEMBERS OF SAID COMMISSION; FIXING THE
COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN MEMBERS TISEREOF
AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 217.
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as
follows :
Section 1. Ordinance No. 217 entitled ‘An Ordinance
Creating a City Planning Commission Bithin and For the City of
’Lodi”, adopted Harch 16 , 1936, is repealed.
Section 2. Notwithstanding the repeal of Ordinance
No. 217 by Section 1 of this Ordinance, the present members
of the City Planning Commission appointed pursuant to the pro-
visions of said Ordinance No. 217 are continued in office to
and until the explration of the several terms for which said
members were appointed,
Section 3. A City Planning Commission of the City of
Lodi is hereby created in accordance wwith the provisions of the
State Conservation and Planning Act, as amended,
shall consist of nine members to be appointed by the bdayor wlth
the consent of the City Council, who may be persons who hold
office or position with the City; provided, however, that the
number of members of such Commission who are not officers or

employees of said City shall exceed the number of members who
may be officers or employees of the City. Members of this Com-
mission who hold an office or position with the City shall serve
without additional compensation. Members of this Commission
who are not officers or employees of this City shall receive
the sum of Five Dollars (&.OO) for each and every meeting of
the Commission actually attended by them and not to exceed two
meetings in each calendar month.

to elect its own presiding officer with the title of Chairman
and such other officers as may be necessary or expedient, to
adopt rules of order and procedure, and do and perform its duties
in conformance with the State Conservation and Planning Act
and such other laws as may appertain to city planning and zoning.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No, 392
was regularly introduced in the City Council of said City
on the 6th day of July, 1949, and was subsequently passed,
adopted and ordered to print by said City Council in regular
meeting held July 20, 1949, by the following vote:
