ORDINANCENO. 376
The City Council of the city of Lodi does ordain as follows:
Section lo Waste Disposal Grounds as used herein shall mean that portion
of the Northeast one-quarter of Section 19, Township 3 North, Range 8 m&,
M. D. B. &I. nm or hereafter used for disposal of waste materials,
including erbage, by the City of Lodi, residents of said City and by
residents in the Fourth Supervisorial District of San Joaquin munty.
Person shall include individual, firm, corporation,
partnership or association.
Custodian means the person appointed by the City blaDager
to supervise and control all operations in said Waste Disposal Grounds,
his deputies and any city employee working under the direction of the
Custodian.
Section 2. Prom and after the passage of this ordinance, the following
rules and regulations and amendments thereto shall apply:
(a) Said Waste Msposal Grounds shall be used only when the
Custodian or same other properly designated person is in

(b) No charge for waste disposal shall be made to individual
residents of the @its of Lodi or for waste collected by employees or agents
of the City of Lodi in said City nor to individual residents of the Fourth
Supervisorial District of San Joaquin County.
(c) Persons engaged in carmnercial haulix of waster materials,
including garbage, shall be charged tmenty4iVe (25) cents per cubic yard
o& fractional part thereof and any person disposing of automobile bodies
shall pay a fee of One (1) DoU.ar for each autcrmobile bow deposited for

materials not suited for disposal by the methods employed in the conduct of
these disposal grounds or dangerous to life and health by the nature thereof.
(4 All waste materials presented for disposaL shall be placed
as directed by the Custodian or employees working under him. All vehicles
shall remain on the roadway or roadways to the disposal area unless other-
wise directed by the Custodian. No vehicle shall be operated at a speed in
excess of ten miles per hour while in the disposal grounds.
(el No person shall conduct salvage operations in the waste
disposal grounds unless giwn written pellnission by the City Manager and
such operations shall at all. times be under the direction of the Custodian.
No rubbish, waste, garbage or other materials shall be burned unless such
burning is authorized by the Custodian and supervised by him.
(f) These rules and regulations may be amended or other regulat-
ions added frcan time to time by resolution of the City Council of the City of:
Lodi and a oopy thereof shall be kept posted at or near the naah gate to the
waste disposal grounds, including all amendments and additions.
(s) Violations of these regulations shall constitute a misdemeanor,
and on convietion thereof, the violator may be barred from future use of
these grounds and be punished by a fine of not mre that Qb500eo0 or by
imprisonment in the County Jail for not more than sWy days, or by both
such fine and imprisonment .

that the foregoing Ordinance No. 376 was regularly introduced in a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held on the
20th by of October, 1948 and read in full thereat and that the said
Ordinance Noo 376 was thereafter and at a regular meeting of said
City Council, passed, adopted and ordered to print on November 3, 1948
by the following vote -
