HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 355In the City Council City of Lodi Lodi , California ORDINANCE NO. 355 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING 'JXE ANNEXATSON OF "MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ADDITION" TO THE CITY OF LODI, CALIFORNIA WHEaEAS in answer to a petition signed by the owners of all the lands oomprising the territory hereinafter described, this City Counoil did on the 17th day of September, 1947 pass and adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 1359 declaring it to be the intention of said City Council to annex to the City of Lodi certain uninhabited territory in San Joaquin Oounty, California contiguous to said City in aocordance with proceedings to be had pursuant to the t@Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939" as amended, said territory for the purposes thereof to be designated "MBtORIAL HOSPITAL ADDITIONf1 f Or identification and partioularly bounded and described as hereinafter set forth, and WEEREAS due publication of said Resolution of Intention No. 1359 was had in time, form and manner as required by law as is evidenced by the affidavit of Ada McKinnon, prinoipal clerk of the publisher of The Lodi Times, the newspaper of general oiroulation, printed and published in said City of Lodi on file and of record in the office of the City Clerk of this City and, ~< WHEREAS among other things, said' Resolution of Intention No. 1359 gave notice that owners of real property affeated thereby might Pile written protests or objeotions against said annexation up to the hour of 8:OO P.M. of Wednesday the 15th day of October, 1947 with this City Council in its Council Chambers, City Hall, Lodi, California at which time and plaoe said City Council would reoeive and hear said -protests or objections and, -1 - WHEREAS at said time and place this City Council did then and there declare it was then ready to reoeive and hear any and all protests against the annexation of said territory and no protests either written or oral were then presented and by reason thereof this City Council then acquired jurisdiction to annex said territory to the City of Lodi, now therefore, The City Counoil of the City of Lodi does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1 - The annexation of the following described uninhabited territory contiguous to said City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California is hereby approved and is hereby deolared to be annexed to and made part of said City, to wit: The North 4.3 acres of the South 10 acres of the East 33 acres of the Southwest One-quarter of Section 2, T3N, R6E, Pb.D,B.& MI. SECTION 2 - Upon the effective date of this Ordinance, the City Clerk shall make, certify and transmit a copy hereof, to the Secretary of State of the State of' California giving the date of its passage, approval and adoption and he shall further comply with such other statutes as may be applicable hereto.
