ORDINANCE NO. 328
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF " PIOODLAKE TRACT TO THE CITY OF ICOI ,
CALIFORNIA.
PYHEREAs, in answer to a petition signed by owners of more than one-fourth
of the area of the lands and representing not less than one-fourth of the
assessed valuation of such lands, this City Council did, on the 17th day of
July, 1946, pass and adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 1267, declaring it
to be the intention of this City Council to annex fo the City of Lodi certain
uninhabited territory contiguous to said City, in accordance with proceedings
had and to be- had pursuant to the provisions of the 11 Annexation of Uninhabited
Territoiy Act of 1939 11 as amended, said territory, for the purposes hereof
to be designated '&OODLAI(E TRACT
hereinafter set forth, and,
and particularly bounded and described as
-AS, due publication of said Resolution Noo 1267 was had in time, form
and manner as required by law as is evidanced by affidavit on file and of record
in the office of the City Clerk of this City, and,
-AS, among other things, the said Resolution Noo 1267 , gave public
notice that owners of real property affected by said annexation rmght file
written protests against said annexation up to the hour of 8:OO orclock P.M.
of Wednesday, August 7, 1946 with this City Council, which protests would be
received and'considered at said day and hour in the Council Chambers, City Hall,
Lodi, California by the said City Council, and,
?%-EREAS, on the day and hour and' at the place so set, this City Council did
in open meeting, declare that it was then ready to receive and hear any and
all protests or objections against the annemtion of said territory to the City
of bdi and no protests or objections either written or oral were presented, and, by reason that no protests were received, this City Council did then acquire
jurisdiction to annex said territory to the City of Mi, now therefore,
The City Council of the City of Iodi does ordain as follows :
Section I. The annexation of the following described uninhabited territory
to the City of Lodi, San Joaquin County, California is hereby approved and. is
hereby declared to be annexed to and made part of said City, todt:
BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHmT CORNER OF LOT 10 IN LAKE HOME SUBDIVISION,
MAP FILED MARCH 7, 1938 IN VOL. ll OF MAPS AM) PLATS AT PAGE 30 THEREOF,
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY RECORDS, AM3 RUNNING THENCE SOUTH 0' 54t EAST TO THE
NORTHPEST CORNER OF LOT 2 IN GERARD TRACT, MAP FILED AUGUST 8, 1916 IN
VOL. 8 OF MAPS AND PLATS AT PAGE 62 THEREOF$ SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY RECORDS,
THENCE SOUTH 00 535% East ON AND ALONG THE WWl!ERLY BOUNDARY LINES OF
LOTS 2, 3, 6 AND 8 OF SAID GERARD TRACT TO THE SOUTHNEST CORNER OF SAID
LCYJ! 8, THENCE EASTERLY, ON AND ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID L#l! 8 TO
THE SOUTHEAST CORMER THEREOF,
TO THE NORTH LINE OF THE WOODBRIDGE BRANCH RAILROAD OF SOUTHERN PACIFIC

WT CORNER OF LOT 10 IN LAKE HM SUBDIVISION AND THE POINT OF BEZINNING
TKENCE NORTH 0' 535e =ST ON AND ALONG THE
LINES OF SAID LOTS 8, 6, 3 AND 2 AND THE NORTHERLY PROJECTION THEREOF
THESICE NORTH 67' 17' WEST, ALONG SAID NORTH LINE TO THE SOUTH-
OF THE TRACT OF LAND HERTUN DESCRIBED.
Section 2. Upon the effective date of this ordinance, the City Clerk shall
make, certify and transmit a certified copy hereof to the Secretary of State of
the State of California, giving the date of its passage and adoption and he
shall also comply with such other statutes as may be applicable hereto.,

7th day of August, 194.6 and thereafter, on the 2ls-b day of August, 1946,
was regularly passed, adopted and ordered to print by the following vote:
AYES: councilmen, Haskell, Lytle, Riggs, Tolliver, and Einn.
NOES : Councilmen, None.
ABSENT: Councilmen, None
