An ordinance providing for notice of riu.nicipal elections and establish
ing election precincts and polling places,
The Baard of Trustees of the City 5f Lodi do ordain as follows:
Section 1. Notices of all municipal eloctions in tize City of Lodi shall
specify the day of the election, the officers to be elected, the place 01-
places of voting, the officers of election appo3nted by the Board of
Trustees and the time far which the polls will be open. If special. quest-
Sons or propositions are'to be nted upon the notice shall so state,
specifying the questions or propositions. Such notice signed by the
president of the Board of Trustees and attested by the City Clerk shall
be published in at least two issues of a newspaper published in the City
of Ledi, the first of such publications to be nat less than fourteen nor
more than thirty days hefore the day of the electior.. Such notice shall
be sufflciently authorized by a resolutior, aciopted by the Board of Trust-
ees in terms simply directing that the "resident of said Board and the
City Clerk give notice of the election accor&ing to law, but the said Boar&
may, if it so elect, be more specific in its direction,
Section 2. Unless otherwise specially provided by the statute:: of the
state of California br a resolutior, of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lad$, the entire City of Lodi shall be and constitute one election pre-
cinct far the purpose of any municipal election.
Section 3: This ordinance shall be pubiished once in the
Af- , a nelnlspaper published in said City of Lodi, and shall
have and take effect upon its pasag$, approvzl and publication,
