Section 1. Section 6 of Ordinance 30. 164 entitled as
above set forth is hereby amended by the addition of a new sub-
section to be nunbered 6-a and reading as ~'ollovvs:
0-8. / Pro-Tided, that if one or more of the flats,
apartments, buildings or premises supplied through a water tap
on a flat rate as set forth in the preceeding Section 6, becomes
vacant, the water charge for the said vacant portion of said
property may be discontinued durin; such vacancy on the execution
and filing with the City Clerk of a staternent by the owner or
lessor of said property stating that water will not be used in the
vacant portion thereof without consent of the City of Lodi
obtained in the manner prescribed in Section j of said Ordinance
No. 161~ and s2ving the said City harmless from any damage that may
be incurred due to the presence of City water in the pipes
supplying said vacant property.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be publishedt one time
within fifteen days from and after its final passage and shall
be in force 2nd take effect thirty days from the date of its final
