Ordinance No. 231 of the City o adopted January 18, 1937 is hereby repealed. Section 2. There is hereby established the office of City Attorney of and for the City of Lodi, California. Section 3. duties of the City Attorney shall be to attend to all suits, matters and things in which the City may be legally interested, to give his advice or opinion in writing whenever required by the Mayor or City Council,%to prepare all ordinances proposed to be passed said City Council, to attend meetings of the City Council such things touching his office as the City Council. the City Council from time to time and as desired by said City Council and shall serve thereafter until his death, resignation, removal by the City Council or the avpo Section 5.
