HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 241QRDI~TABTW NO. 241 AN ORDINAlfCE INCREASING THE DUTI3S OF THE CITY ENGT3EER GF TI38 CIm- OF LOJ3I BY ADDING THE DUTIES OF' EUIDING IMSPECTOR The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as Section 1: That there is hereby added to the duties f ollotvs: of the City Engineer of the City of Lodi, San Joaquin CounLy, CaliTornia. the duties of BuiMing Inspector as the same are - here inaf te; defined. Section 2: Such added duties oi' Building Inspector shall include and shall require the City dngineer to perform the following : First: He shall establish, under his present office and under his supervision, a department which shall have charge of the construction and repair (when necessary) of ail public buildings belonging to or used 5y the city, and which department shall be known as the "Building De,mrtinent" by and tiirough which he shall perform all of the duties hereinafter specified. Second: By and through such department he shall see that all ordinances of the City of Lodi and all State, Federal and local laws relative to the construction and maintenance of buildings within said city are fully carried out. Third: He shall inake an annual report in writing of all activities performed by his office, throum said department, each calendar year, such report to be made at he last r=eting in December of each year. Fourth: By and through such department he shall examine and pass rpon all applications for building permits with- in the City of Lodi and recommend the same to the C for approval or rejection.
